I think the colours make this shot. Perfect time of day.
Jean-Francois said 1 year ago:
Without the light looking like lava spilling over the streets, I would have probably find this shot nice but a bit to "classical" or to "postcard- like"!
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 1 year ago:
Jean-François, je suis tout à fait d'accord. En fait, cette image est loin d'être parmi mes favorites. J'ai vu qu'une photo similaire en N&B avait été choisie, et j'ai voulu faire une sorte de test en postant celle-ci. Mes images préférées ne sont pas forcément selectionnées. Je me perds en conjectures sur les goûts et les couleurs...
:O)

Belle interprétation du thème. Ces couleurs ajoute quelquechose de plus à la photo dite "classique"

Merci Pierre-Yves.

doilyboy (Martin Grey Gottlieb) added a critique 1 year ago:
Maybe a bit tighter crop but I like the textures included in this shot. And the color.I would like to see her face close up but that's another shot. As it stands, I really like this one.
jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with a tighter crop, but this is an "unexpected" portrait, I like it. I like her facial expression and positioning.
eli (Elijah Woolery) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like this portrait; it looks like you're getting a bit of barrel distortion which could be corrected in photoshop (unless the wall behind her is curved); other than that it is really nice.
Dale (Dale) added a critique 1 year ago:
For a portrait she looks very uncomfortable, like she can't wait for it to end. Her left hand is almost pushing her up off the seat. I think it would have worked far better as a shot if the model was sitting comfortably and naturally.
Jean-Francois added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree that the posture seem uncomfortable, just like the posture of young and sexy models in fashion magazines. But to my mind, this just adds to the "unexpected" atmosphere of the portrait. I also like this tender vision of an old person, which is not condescending at all.
