I like! I think this works well for the topic as it all about lots of light with the only images coming from the shadow.

Nice clean photo. The tractor adds a lot to an already charming portrait.

I've got a soft spot for pictures like this. Sets such warm and inviting mood. Great use of light and shadows!

thoughtdujour (thought du jour) said 1 year ago:

I'm a sucker for photos that have rays of light like this bursting through...

Ultimately for me though....there is "something" missing. I hope you don't mind me saying this and not being able to give a better explanation. Perhaps a person, someone walking or someone on a bike...a jogger....

Just my humble thoughts...

I like it the way it is. No need for anyone or anything in the frame. Those rays of light playing in the trees are all the subject matter this image needs. Bravo.

I really like the lines and the tonal quality of this image. Too bad you couldnt move that socket out of the very middle of the frame ;). A very nice submission to this theme.

Lovely light and textures in this. I'm just going to linger awhile and admire everything that is going on, and the simplicity of it.

Nice, but doesn't say much. I've seen a few others like this (a long time ago) that really tell a story. Technically very good.

You look like you're under water! This is cool!

SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) said 1 year ago:

Ana,

I did a few of these just to play around after seeing King's work on WS. I found one of the most interesting aspects was the ability to more or even remove things from the focal plane as the image was forming (line by line). The trick is to keep really still for the parts you want in focus, and make calculated movements for the parts you want distorted... Certainly not quite as fantastic results as King, but it was fun to try anyway.

This is super! One of the best in this topic, IMO.

I love the reflection in the glass and the way it bends the shadows at the top

A really cool picture that you present here, congratulations

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 1 year ago:

I don't get this one at all, but I love it!

thoughtdujour (thought du jour) said 1 year ago:

I love the concept...but there's something about the scowl on the face that i don't understand...but that's just me.

My humble opinion is that the whites of the eyes are too white. Could be my monitor....

But I like the concept...

Such an unusual yet powerful presentation of this infamous gate! As unsettling as the place itself. Good one.

I love it. :)

I like this photo. I guess the element that makes it even more interesting is the waste paper basket used as a hat...

Looks very Tunisian!

The light is nice in this but it might be more interesting to see it not so centered.

thoughtdujour (thought du jour) added a critique 1 year ago:

IVery dynamic. The fact that I can pick out that you've caught a ship in the horizon inspite of it being small suggests that its large enough to make an impression on me.

I love that you've caught the sun's ray's peaking out from behind the clouds. I think the photo is nicely balanced with the graduation of colors from the bright blue sky, to the golden sunlight to the pitch darkness of the fore-ground!

chaba (David Chabashvili) added a critique 1 year ago:

quite impressive sky..have to agree with the remark regarding the centered composition..also the bottom part is very dark and steals the eye from the beauty..

w3nsch1 (Thomas) added a critique 1 year ago:

i would suggest to crop the picture a little bit so the big dark area is gone. the same widht but less hight and the picture looks really nice with the sun coming trough the clouds.

Eyeseethings said 1 year ago:

Thanks for advice . I am of to have a go at cropping image now. Really helpfull thanks again
