The sign and lawn mower tell a good story. However, the colors are muted and the focus needs sharpening.

Great composition and textures. We can clearly see the details: flawlessly executed shot in my opinion.

Thank you for the comments. It seems I'll have to work on this scene to raise above a technical-only level.

superb atmosphere, grats for being featured. and i think i see you in there. the shadow hitting the bench splits strangely, your shadow could end there.

This is lovely, superb long shadows and the golden light makes it even more beautiful!!
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:
Wonderful shot - long shadows are powerful. Also they indicate something behind the viewer which gives the photo a sense of greater depth

I wanted to tell you, why I posted this in that topic. I hope you feel it fits. For me is my home city, Vienna, a big city - and a wonderful city. I think, all our culture makes it big. I hope you feel so too. Thanks for listening.
VernonTrent (Vernon Trent) said 1 year ago:
not only the culture. the people as well. :-)

The only gripe I have about this otherwise great shot is the bit of building in the upper right of the frame. I would crop (or otherwise edit) that out.
phototext (Jeremy) said 1 year ago:
Great shot, although I agree with SeekingFocus about the top right section.
DaanMuller (Daan Muller) said 1 year ago:
Thanks for the comments, I took the building out and I looks much better. I didn't notice it before.

I only just noticed the sign for 7, which city in Aus is this.

Sydney mate. This was shot in late July.

So glad this made it over here. One of my favorite submissions for this theme. Once again Judith, I love the crystals floating through the frame like errant winding sparrows. A great cozy feel to this wintery themed image.
derLitograph (Manuel Waldhans) said 1 year ago:
Is this an "out of the camera" shot. No layer work? Cool
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:
Well-seen image - speaks of winter. I like the way that the curvature of the frost echoes that of the tree branch.
Judith_Polakoff said 1 year ago:
Manuel, I'm sure I used layers in the post-processing, but I didn't "layer on" the frost/ice, if that's what you're asking.
Thanks for the nice comments, people. :)

Good shot. Shows the 2 different sides of the city on the different sides of the river.

Interessant division of the image. The ghostly skyscrapers seem to float over the smallest buildings. Nice shot.
