I really like this image. It has a beautiful painterly quality to it. What is the material on the fence?
Eyeseethings said 1 year ago:
Would love to see this BW
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:
Thanks for commenting. I have thought about doing a BW version; however the photo is already fairly monochromatic and so I am not sure how much BW would add. Furthermore I like the warmth of this version.
strochka (Tais Kulish) said 1 year ago:
Interesting. Maybe just a tiny bit more space on the top and to the left? To give it more prespective?
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:
Thanks for your comment, strochka. I agree plus it would be helpful to have more of the lighter element in the upper left lead the eye back into the picture. I will revist this.

I got a pretty good response to the last one so I decided to post another HDR, long Exposure shot from the same day but closer to the falls.
chaba (David Chabashvili) said 1 year ago:
simly beautiful! i'm really fan of HDR, but correctly used HDR technique. This is one fine work, and long exp. on water does magic. good work!
jamesroo (james rooney) said 1 year ago:
i'm generally not an HDR fan -- overdone typically, but i think this one strikes a good balance. it's subtle and the coloring adds to the photo rather than consumes it.

first a cruel, almost horizontal counterlight is needed (though it's not pp but apriori condition), then a massive overdose of contrast (which is pp); and that's all.
minimalism rulz.
KidJim (Jean Marc Veliscek) said 1 year ago:
seems like an indian coming from outer space (my interpretation, I think he is not ;-)- great image that works perfectly on the theme !
methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:
thanks jean, well, he's a she and she's not coming but going. outer space is literally correct, though.
KidJim (Jean Marc Veliscek) said 1 year ago:
Yep - that's it !!

This is very beautiful, with an ancient soul.
forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:
Like Matt said, the lighting here seems to evoke an ancient and timeless mood.
AndreiMorar (Andrei Morar) said 1 year ago:
Very moody indeed.
I love that the shadow dropped has the form of the cross.
Very interesting flooring also.
bestarchitect said 1 year ago:
OK. I like the old stuff. This is nicely played and gives a great sense of the room. The shadows at the edges nicely frame the image/room/window; brings the eye to the window. The wonderful textures that are evident are evident throughout are nicely defined and establish its historical context.

kyla (Kyla) added a critique 1 year ago:
I would have liked to see this cropped where the wall ends as the trees distract from this image. Like the shadow on the wall and the stance of the person. I would love it if we could just see a little of his face but perhaps that adds to the intrigue.
Eyeseethings added a critique 1 year ago:
I think a crop at the end of wall would suite it better also . Just needs a little light around figure as hard to distguinish shad . Very well exposed though
jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with both of the comments before me about the cropping, and other than that I think its a great shot!
Terrific shot Bob. Really really super. I think I'd have cropped a bit off the top. I don't say that to suggest you should have. Simply sharing a feeling. I like this image a lot.
