Was the baby holding the camera itself? If so then that is so freaking adorable, hehe. Love those lashes! I can't wait to have kids that are photography addicts like myself. If not then...this is not really 'self portrait' material then for this category?

moeview (Aaron Molina) said 1 year ago:

I actually took this photo of my daughter. I guess in your face meant, Your as in Mine.. Oops. I rename this category... "in her face" Thanks for the comment. Aaron www.moeview.com

Hehe, fél perce pont erről a képedről beszéltem a másik képed kommentjében :))))

Minden kívánságom ilyen gyorsan (negatív idő alatt...) teljesüljön :)))

I keep leading my comments with Very nice, or well done, so I'm trying to find more creative comments to make! This is really an interesting image. The lights and especially the starring really makes the image. What exactly is this structure?

methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:

biolarzen, úgy legyen. mint látod, én mindent megteszek.

uncommondepth, it's a portable formwork for concreting a 1980 meter long highway bridge in 20 meter long shifts at köröshegy, hungary. the structure hangs at 70 meter hieght above the valley.
by the way, do yuo have an explanation for this star-effect, 'cause it's nothing like that in reality (only if you pull the corner of your eyes towards your ears and try to look through the narrow slit).

methan,

akkor az a lottóötösös kívánságom elkerülte a füledet? :))

Those are birds indeed. A bit easier to see when the image is larger. Thanks for the compliment.

bioLarzen (In retreat) said 1 year ago:

Well, you deserved it :)

Is this Croatia or Serbia?

bslomovic (Brant Slomovic) said 1 year ago:

Haha, thanks again bioLarzen.
I wish it were somewhere exotic like Croatia/Serbia ('cause that would imply that I had the opportunity to go there).
Don't know if I should reveal this then, but this is simply a cool bridge in Toronto(figured it was safe to tell since it is on my web site).
Cheers.

bioLarzen (In retreat) said 1 year ago:

Funny :) I mean I guessed from your name that you are either Serbian or Croatian - you probably are one or the other, by origin, I mean :)

bslomovic (Brant Slomovic) said 1 year ago:

No worries biolarzen. A very common mistake, but actualy, Im from neither. My grandparent originated from the east part of Czechoslovakia prior to the second world war...

Michael (Michael Bakker) said 1 year ago:

Serious reflection! Very cool one.

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the concept - but for me the execution is lacking - and here is why I think this:

Cropping: the shot as it is might have worked better if it was square - the main focus or element here is the reflection but there is too much "real estate" shown below the glasses that detract from the overall image.

Component Placement: I believe that the overall effect would be better if the shooter could move out of the field of view of the reflection and yet still capture the reflection.

Overall contrast might puch this up some. Perhaps a cross-process look or BW? For me the colours are washed and again a detracting factor.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate. :)

BodhiBlink (Tom Bodhi Reeves) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Arne, your thoughts were spot on... My problem is it's also a photo of three people I care dearly for (my self, the photographer, included) and I like seeing as much as I do. I definitely could capture the shot that you suggest, and should have...maybe still will! burning man...oooga.

BodhiBlink (Tom Bodhi Reeves) said 1 year ago:

btw, I'm gunna go play around with some different processing styles... could be fun. ;)
