Brandon...thanks for that!
Jason...very cool. So where was this shot?
SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) said 1 year ago:
Hey King, Nice to see you around here as well.
This was shot in the gardens at Versailles. I was standing on a terrace above looking down this hedge row when the old man walked by.

Super shot Jason. What a mood.

Oh man, this one is terrible! Just kidding George, you already know I like it.
Also, I may be wrong, but this seems like a tighter crop than the previous version. I have to say, I like this a bit better. =)
George said 1 year ago:
I know, it sucks! Ha! Good one, Jason :-)
You're right, this is a tighter crop, based on the WS feedback. Glad ya like it!

i love the double DOF here, as you managed to capture the drip, and the spout.
jaredwolf (Jared Wolf) said 1 year ago:
Nice DOF and composition.

Great exposure. Did you made this with a technical camera?
THISMUG (Jeremy Yontz) said 1 year ago:

Hi,
I like the photograph and the setting but I would have liked to see more detail on the sharp edges where the metal has rusted away. That could be quite intricate and I think may have added a little more to explore when viewing.
Faustina (Faustina Black) added a critique 1 year ago:
I think that this would look amazing as a HDR, that way you could get the right exposure at the window and have some more lightness up front to see the detail. It is an interesting place, ad I like the composition.
SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:
great find - would really make a fantastic hdr. for me the white parts of the wall are much too bright, kind of washed out, and the dark part of the rusty piece of metal is much too dark. would have loved to see some more details. but i really like the composition you chose.
THISMUG (Jeremy Yontz) said 1 year ago:
I actually did set this up to make an HDR but never got around to finishing it up...maybe I will have to do that

Not quite sure how this fits into the theme. The description of the theme mentions that the image should be a frame within a frame.
gembase (frederic Michiels) said 1 year ago:
in fact this shot was taken trough the window of my flat. Maybe I didn't interpret correctly the theme..

I thought the same as you and wasn't at all sure what this theme was about.
Is it, like you, the view from my window or is it a frame within a frame?
Confused.
Claremont (Jon Claremont) said 1 year ago:
Gee, I typed the above and forgot to say how much I liked the photo. Doh!

Apologies to all - I missed the frame part of the spec. Too busy being excited at showing what a Southern Right whale can do. And yes, it was taken from an upstairs window at home.
Remove pic if you want to :-(
