I like how you can see the character in his face.
I also like the lighting as it really draws the viewer into what is important in the shot.

Weigh in on this if you have time - I really have mixed feelings about this effect - half the time I love it, and half the time I think it's really stupid and ultimately distracts greatly from the face of the subject. On the other hand, if I see it as something other than a traditional portrait...maybe it works on some level. Feel free to comment.

imo there's too much visible of the back of his head. It just isn't a 'en profile' shot, a couple of degrees counter-clockwise turning of the man and it would be all o.k.

Very nice capture. I like how the colors of his visor stand out against the dark areas in the shot. Did you use a filter to get the effect? This looks like the same gentlemen from one of your previous posts.
