Nice one boyd, the only part I would suggest changing is to apply some lens distortion correction in PS. The edge of the the black frame just barely showing in the upper right and the edge of the curve showing in the upper left would both be removed if you applied this filter. This would also give the image a bit more symmetry and balance.

Where was this taken, looks like an interesting building and grounds.

I liked the idea, but the upper and the lower half look disconnected and overall the image is grainy, perhaps deliberately.

Thanks Beamer, I will have to learn about perspective control in PS (although I would prefer to think that I am saving for that 35mm PS lens) ... the shot is taken from the second floor of the "Reunification Palace" in Ho Chi Mihn City and it is a fabulous bit of architecture (I might post some other shots) ...
I appreciate your thoughts, Soreks ... the composition was deliberate, thats why I asked for critiques ... and the grain is a feature of my scanner, I think that Fuji Reala 100 has well-controlled grain for film ...

Boyd,

I would love to see more of this series - this shot is very interesting and very well executed - well done.

Best,
Jon

Interesting object! I would work a little bit with the composition.
