This is nice capture and even 2 duos :).

On a critique note, I'd mention 2 girls on the background cluttering otherwise appropriate centered composition.

As for the light, it looks too cold and flat in my eyes.

Yep, very cloudy day, but very interesting subjects. These two went on and on for almost 45 minutes doing handstands and cartwheels. I had to admire their energy (if only from the comfort of my beach chair)!! They appeared to be young, very enthusiastic gymnasts.

Very intriguing subject matter to be sure, Clyde. The two bathing beauties on their way in are definitely a distraction for me, however. A pleasant distraction, granted, but they do diminish the impact of the photo as a whole. The lighting, in my view, is just right for this kind of a shot; it's not a landscape, and brings out the geometry of your young gymnasts.

I gotta agree. When it comes to "clutter" this is a fine example. However, I would have removed them from the scene, too (he says wistfully).

the ppl in the bak really take away from the subject at hand..
but really great shot either way!

Very nice catch of the girls in front, the figure they make is very nice.

Points for improvement in my view:
- the two girls in the back are disturbing, it was better to wait till they were gone
- perhaps I would have lowered my point of shooting - a larger aperture to blur the sea more
a bit by laying on the beach
- the lighting is a bit dull; off camera flash to light the figure would have helped, though it is not so easy to do that unless you walk around with a light stand and other stuff :-)
