This photograph has just been realized. I was on Vazaar, when a peace march passed in bottom of my home. It is simply the end of procession closed by the French police force. Stops was done regularly. Excuse me for my English. Greetings.

Good idea, but the execution is not quite there. So - it's still interesting!
Best,

I love the idea but in my opinion, the composition is a bit off. I think a bit of straightening, and slight shift to the right would've worked much better. I actually like the inclusion of the child though. I think it adds some quirky interest.

I like the light and the idea. I wish the little person was more central.

The next time I get back to this place, I'm going to rework the shot. Thank you all for the tips. So, I think move the shot to the right to show more of the width of the stairs, try to increase the height, and get my daughter to cooperate and be slightly more centered (that'll be a challenge for a 2 and a half year old). Thanks for the ideas, all.

i like the idea it fits perfectly to the topics.
perhaps the little girl would have been much interesting in another place of the shot (ex : down the stairs)

Es muy bonita pero y su color??? seguro que los tiene y muy importantes, ¿por qué quitárselos?
CodeRed (Cody Redmon) said 11 months ago:
Hi Ana,
Thanks for your comment. I've posted this image in color for you on my blog. I don't understand what "quitárselos" means, so I can't address that part of your comment.
AnaGaztelu (Ana Gaztelu) said 11 months ago:
Me gusta mucho mas en color!!!!!
Con "quitárselos" me refería a todos esos maravillosos colores que imaginaba que tendría.
Gracias

Very subtle. Good job on shooting all those reflective surfaces.
psychodudu (Andrew Parker) said 1 year ago:
Thanks Leigh-Anne. I was quite chuffed with this one, the light is great, and the colours blend well with the ambient tones.
sunside (Markus Mayer) said 1 year ago:
I would like a bit more dof in the foreground, but I really like the reflections and the colors.

philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 1 year ago:
Merci pour le commentaire, Eric. Pour le coussin, j'ai pensé à l'enlever, mais je me suis dit que ça mettait une touche de couleur...
:o)

My goodness that is a curvy flamingo! The frame treatment is a tiny bit distracting for me but the colors you've captured are amazing - brilliant orange-coral and green-green grass.
Chris-iw (Chris) said 1 year ago:
Thanks Leigh-Anne; I've discovered drop shadow frames don't work on Vazaar, won't use them again!
Lamdennison (Leigh-Anne Dennison) said 1 year ago:
Hi Chris - I think with framing of any kind that you're probably right and that's a reasonable rule of thumb; however, it also depends on how it is done. In this case, I think it isn't a big enough statement to justify it. It needs to add something to the impact of the image. As an example, Vernon just went for it with this image, and I think works because it really adds something dramatic to it. Honestly, it seems very trial and error here...
Does that make sense?
Chris-iw (Chris) said 1 year ago:
It does Leigh-Anne, thanks.
Very cool capture to go along with the topic. My question is, what can't you see they they are getting ready to stop?
