Ah, yes, that makes sense...I guess it must be very cold in the mornings where this was taken, and because I'm not usually up that early in the morning, especially not in the colder months, it is not something I would see! Just one other comment, it's a shame that all of the branch is not sharp; it would have 'made' the image for me, but I still like it. :~D

The colors seem flat to me.

Well, I guess, the colours look flat because we are in drought; otherwise, it's pretty well spot-on! I too like the B+W version as it brightens the detail and, to me, gives that sense of heat, but not quite shimmering. Thanks for your feedback, Nick! :~D

Oh! for just a little more sharpness...I would have cleaned up the foreground - it's a little messy, and cropped it more tightly - nice effort overall, however.

I know how amazing it always is to capture a reflection in the water. I like how clear it is and how blurry it is. Great shot!

i loved how the melted bit of ice at the edge gave a perfect reflection, while all the other surfaces didnt.

@jon you are not a stick in the mud...you know what you like....so no apologies...this is what a critique is about...This is one of those shots where if I had moved the camera even a hair I would have gotten power lines etc...I took a chance.

I keep seeing this photo and it catches my eye. I always looks like the clouds are moving. I don't know why, but the composition is very unique. Well done.
