Oh, my god, thats so beautiful, the contrast, colours, composition, everything is perfect.
Did you use film or digital? Which film or digital camera did you use? Can you reveal the exif data? I would like to know something more of this photography.
Thank you and congratulations.

great stuff, can't help but look at that ring thing and think it has more of a story to tell (ie. more shots just as interesting as this one). Great work to have that mountain range in the backdrop of this shot.

What beauty...and how lucky we are to have eyes (and cameras) to see them!

i would take it more to the left, i agree with Beamer, but to do a crop is not what i like to do :)

Reworked version, plus a bit of pizzazz to give a lift, after MMeye suggestion.
MMeye said 11 months ago:
I don't catch "pizzazz", but this version is excellent, congratulations.
lolly (lolly smits) said 11 months ago:
"pizzazz" = flamboyance, flair (amongst other definitions). In this image, I gave it more pizzazz by giving some more 'radiance' to it -- light, softness. The original I posted was a bit flat, in my opinion. I'm glad you like it! :~D

Great shot. Question: Did you see this before or after you took the shot? Beautiful work! Best, Jon

After the shot has been better eye for the WHOLE,
thanks

It is well composed, but the light is not exiting. And a darker exposure would make the colours more saturated

It lacks sharpness, the composition could be better (what are you trying to show here? I can't find a subject nor directing lines) and the white balance is really off in the green/blue direction.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 11 months ago:
Agree with most of above, and I think it's in the wrong Topic, should be "Urban life", imo.
sfkp (Tamara) said 11 months ago:
Thanks for your feedback! It helps me (I'm really a greenhorn). I never thought about this photo hasn't a subject, I was just passing and liked the colours of the flowers and everything. Now I look again, I see are a little off, indeed.

Tamara

I think if you closed in on that metal structure, and took some pix around that, which could be quite graphic from different angles and different exposures/apertures, would do it for me! :~)))

Very pretty, nice colors. Image feels a little soft overall. Shooting handheld I assume. Maybe use a little higher ISO to get a faster shutter speed.
ReinerMueller (Reiner Müller) added a critique 1 year ago:
Amazing colors, great composition and again this beautiful interaction between light and shadow, which I like very much. Well done!
Fantome added a critique 1 year ago:
The colors are great. I like also the composition. As Beamer said, the picture is a little bit soft. You might try to sharpen it delicately by using a high pass filter with a post-processing software.

Great colors! Nice shot.
KerriDoodle (Kerri) added a critique 11 months ago:
I really like the composition, and the butterfly is gorgeous - I don't mind the softer focus. I do find the daisies to be a bit too saturated for me - almost neon. I would keep the very saturated green, and dial down the daisies to make the butterfly pop even more.

Aahh, there's life in the desert after all. Great shot.

@lolly : thanks lolly, yes - after all, Nature always find the magic power to come back !!
