thank you for the comments. to be honest, i didn't think that the post-processing i did on this photo added to the over-all effect. i just thought i liked it better that way. i guess it will make me think about this in my future photographs and their over all mood. thanks for the feedback.

Excellent image, great post processing. Only the shadows of the wires are a bit disturbing.

thank you for the comment, bastian. i shot the photo while the sun was really harsh, it was late afternoon, i think. could I have set my camera settings differently to make the shot better?

Oh I see. The only thing you could have done was choosing a different angle, so the sheadows were more obvious to be dropped by the sun.

It's still a really good image though.

This is a very striking image. All the more so for his direct gaze contrasted against the gun and barbed wire. I cannot help but wonder why this is yet to feature.
