This would have been more effective if you cloned out her shadow.

I personally like this, however, I can see how others may not feel the same way. It is very manipulated and stylized, hence why it is under the topic photmanipulation. When working with the image, I could not think of a better way to capture and emphasize the subject. I just like the grunge and the color. Otherwise it just felt like a snapshot that many other tourist have most likely taken when walking by. I would love to hear what others think? Too dark? Too shadowy? Too everything?

Love the grime and the color. Also the backdrop is perfect. Dont think it's TOO anything!

Thanks. I've had mixed reports about it. Some people don't know what it is when first looking at it. It's a fog sculpture from a local garden.

The type is working near the photos in the middle left and even for the title, but the type on the right is confusing. Even for the effect of being confusing.

Thanks for your comments Ryan, obviously this was not designed for this posting. This is a 18" x 27" poster, so in the printed version, the type on the right is still pretty much a texture, but not confusing.

this is awkward. The daylight sky and nighttime scene do not mesh well for me. But interesting combo.

very nicely done.

Well done. But this is for topic "tutorial" but not for manipukation.

I actually like that he has shown the before and after. Some of the photos shown in this topic, I can't quite figure out what has been done..... or why.
:)
this is one of the best, IMO

makes me wonder what was really in the sky for you to do such a thing to it!

Crisp clean feel with great tonal values in the structure. Great POV for the building itself. I would like to see more texture and varied color in the sky though.

I just couldn't resisted, this photo wasn't edited on Photoshop or anything like this (other than a tiny crop for the sides), it was left just the way it was taken.
