Hitchhiker's view, I like it, even if a bit tilted to the right.

I miss that turn that is cut at the bottom. Your view was blocked by something for sure, but still I feel the flow broken there. That said, I like the idea and the slight sephia toning.

I love the way you segmented the line with an exceptionally chosen viewpoint. A zigzag instead of a series of the usual S-curves, clever.

The swerving tire tracks add drama to the shot. Showing that the road is slick. Good photo.

Hay fotografías que no dejan al espectador indiferente, esta es una de ellas. Bien vista Sher. Saludos.

Classic. Looks like roads in Australia's outback, red, dusty, and even the scrubby greenery... :~)))

if you startle a tortoise by picking it up, it loses it's water reserves which is almost certainly fatal in dry spells like they're having this year.
so we were careful to look and not touch.
this was the second of two tortoises we saw during our mojave desert trip this summer.
he was set on crossing the road so we stood back and ensured that cars would see us and slow down.

thanks for the comments :)

What a perfect shot! I love the composition - the turtle is perfectly placed, the DOF, and the yellow line leading you into the shot. Excellent job!

Not exactly what I would call "a road".

nfds (Notes From Different Spots) said 1 year ago:

Well, yeah, it more of a path really.

But I'd say it IS a ROAD as in "(...) an identifiable route, way or path between two or more places. Roads are typically smoothed, paved, or otherwise prepared to allow easy travel; though they need not be, and historically many roads were simply recognizable routes without any formal construction or maintenance."
