used a lensbaby for this one

jamesroo (james rooney) added a critique 3 years ago:

i'm not normally a lensbaby fan, but i think it adds a real sense of movement to this photo that could've otherwise been ordinary.

Ca-va-seul (Lopachin) added a critique 3 years ago:

to me the blur and the movement contradict each other: however the blur adds aggressiveness to the machine: I like that aspect very much

agme (Dmitry Antipov) added a critique 3 years ago:

at first thouht it was a chainsaw or something
you need a center here

elijah (Greg Carrick) said 3 years ago:

hmmmm, part of the ethos of the lensbaby, and my own practise, is to not obey the rigidness of alignments and symmetry.

elijah (Greg Carrick) said 3 years ago:

after all, this shot does express movement left to right, a bit of dynamism

TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 2 years ago:

I didn't know what I was looking at at first, but it does look agressive. The blur gives it a good sense of movement. Is this really considered shallow DOF though?
