I know the photo('s) is/are a bit noisy, but I wanted to show it anyway. Nightshifts can be fun, after all :) (Note: see the clock on the background).

anemix (John Anderson) added a critique 11 months ago:

It would be interesting to see a long exposure with just the X-ray grid light. I like the 'triplets' but the one near the clock seems to have a morbid sense of humor. Is this photoshop, film or a digital multiple exposure? At this resolution, the noise isn't that noticable.

sfkp (Tamara) said 11 months ago:

I took 3 photo's and merged them in photoshop. The one near the clock does have a strange sense of humor, but she (erhmm... I) is also anxious waiting at the moment she can press the exposure-button (in the right hand). Maybe that explaines here facial expression, too ;)

I don't really understand the part of the long exposure with only the grid-light. The light you see, is only a help for the technician so they will know how big the field will be (a smaller field gives a lower radiation doses). Remember, x-rays are unvisible.

intéressant mais l'image est un peu terne. le sourire décalé est excellent

This depicts a nice slice of life. The geometric shapes in the background provide a pleasing compositional structure to set off the people. Well done IMHO.

After Iran-EcoTour's Accident at Jam Hospital in Tehran, Iran

Unprofessional Reputed Iranian Nature Tour Company (Iran-EcoTour)

The Iran-EcoTour company (Eco Expert Ltd) in Tehran, Iran is an eco tourism nature company. They were established 1998 to promote Iran's eco tourism attractions and to improve bio-cultural attitudes among people, both locally and internationally, and to pave the way for interested tourists. They claim to have received approval from the three top Iranian Tourism Training Centres, the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organisation and hold classes and training courses about nature and its value.

Mr Ali Adhami, the board of directors in the Iran-Ecotour’s website says: "We guarantee well- equipped, selectively catered, safe and eco- friendly trips."
www.ecotour-iran.com/about_new.htm

On 10 August 2007, I took my mother and her friend on EcoTour’s one day trekking trip to Kondelus Village. Unfortunately the company hired a mini-bus driver who was not familiar with the road to Chaloos that has a series of dangerous winding sections and tunnels. As a result, the bus driver hit the wall of Tunnel No 6. As a result of the resulting huge impact, my mother fell over and was badly injured, she suffered shock of accident and injuries to her foot.

My mother needed financial assistance for medical treatment, but Ecotours told us they would pay nothing towards the cost as all the expenses would be paid for by the driver’s Third Party Insurance. This contradicts what Ecotours have told passengers that whoever travels with them is insured for 1,000,000 tomans for hospital, doctors’ expenses. I feel that they contradict themselves because they try to escape from their responsibility toward my mother and myself and other passengers.

Since 10/08/07, NOBODY from Iran-EcoTour Company (Dr Houman Jowkar, Dr Houshang Ziaie, Dr Bijan Farhang Darreh-shouri, Mr Ali Adhami), and tour leaders (Mr Mohamad Manzarnejad, Mrs Azadeh Jouhari, Mr Ali Islam) has contacted my mother by any means and asked her how she was! i.e.-Was she alive or dead! Apparently one of the EcoTour's director cares more about Iranian Cheetah rather than take care of my old injured & traumatized mother!!

Saludos

turkana (César) added a critique 2 years ago:

A mí me gusta mucho que te hayas centrado en las manos. La postura que adoptan las manos del redero son perfectas. Ese cruce, la posición aguja y las texturas conseguidas con la luz me parecen fantásticas.

Enhorabuena.

Me gustaría verla en ByN. Me gusta la fuerza y el dramatismo que en gente curtida como esta saca el blanco y negro.

jcniguez (José Carlos Ñíguez) said 2 years ago:

Para aquellos que querian verla en B&N y sin recortar podeis encontrarla en la seie B&N (fotos 30 y 31) de mi página web: www.niguez.com/jcniguez/main.php?g2_itemId=5206
Saludos

The light and tones are beautiful here. I love the distinct shadow of the man working.

SusanJones (Susan Jones) added a critique 3 years ago:

Fantastic for the topic!
I find the whites a little harsh but understand how that might to have had to be.

ahutchison (Alan Hutchison) added a critique 3 years ago:

My constructive criticism - I may have tried a version that changed the green colour on the top edge of the building just to see how it would look. Are the highlights on the building surface a bit blown? - they could perhaps be toned down a little - the main piller in the middle is almost blinding.

Having said all that - it's a fantastic shot. Well done.

Master Mansur Vafaee

Another day I visited the Felestine Gallery in Tehran.

I met few senior citizen artists who still active. They were painting separately for different themes about Revolution in Iran.

I talked to Mr Mansur Vafaee who was painting another masterpiece. He told me he is 73 years old and he started painting since he was a young man. He studied painting 50 years ago. He was student of a Master Ali Akbar Najm-Abadi.

He told me he is specialized in Ghahve-khane & Shahname painting.

Among those masters of painters in that gallery, I liked his painting as he used a prespective in his art as well put more details in his painting.
