I have to know is this really out your window?! Like it regardless.

Nice shot Arne. Not much to crtique for me. It's very well balanced. I guess one thing to try for fun would be a big contrast image or go the other way with a more Agfa tone or warm tone. This is so well balanced in structure and tone it might be interesting to see what unbalance (a word?) might bring.

Breathtaking! I like all of it.

I like it, but I think I would like it more in color...
I love the perspective though. Where did you take this from?
jcorbridge (James Corbridge) added a critique 3 years ago:
I agree with Butter, it would look better in color. I would also have liked to of seen a wider angle.
Still a good picture :-)

Thanks for the comments - this was taken through the wire mesh (okay BIG wire mesh) at the top of the Empire State Building in NY. I shot this with my 645 on BW film hence the great resolution - it took a few shots on colour slide as well but it was 35mm and really did not turn out well. Wishing I had had a wider angle lens for that camera myself.

You don't get much bigger than that city! Like it.
Blumie (Sabine) said 3 years ago:
Wow, where have you been doing that shot? Amazing!
Ana (Ana Cortez) said 3 years ago:
I've always loved a shot like this, from above. It just gives it all a 'crowded' feeling, but we exist there all the same...like it's nothing.

Very nice. This is indeed a BIG CITY.

The aerial perspectives are always interesting to look at, this one being no exception!

Thanks for all the comments and the feature.
This was shot from the observation deck at the Empire State Building...

Love this image Arne.
There is such great detail but more importantly for me spectrum of black to white. My only criticism would be that I would have liked a stronger focal point somewhere in the frame.
