its a very cool picture the blue reflecting off the other parts really carries the blue around...although the focus is a bit blurry and i think the focus could have been clearer. but overall its a pretty good pic

I have to agree that the lighing is the real kicker in this one, although the concept is original and well executed. I like the fact that the sharpness of focus is not on any single feature, therefore leaving your eye to roam around the image folowing the leads etc.

Interesting and unexpected image, but I'm afraid it looks better from a distance... A bit too soft and grainy for me, and the pattern of cables in the front of the picture don't look that nice (probably a bit too wide for my taste).
I think I'm going to try something like this next time I go to a server room :)

Yeah, this is a little soft, I just liked the light a lot, so I posted it. This was taken as part of a abstract/motion blur series I was doing one day with my little Lumix point n shoot, handheld. Some others from that same shot have been posted:

It's really interesting sometimes to just "fool" around with your camera, any camera and some unusual subject. I was at work that day and was bored, took out the Lumix that I carry in my backpack all the time and just went around shooting fun stuff.
I was behind the racks of computers and servers in our machine room and the Lumix was having trouble focusing because I was too close so the shutter release was delayed and I had given up and moved the camera. The result in the LCD was intriguing, so I just embraced that technique and had fun.
This one is just one that came out pretty sharp and the light was really fun.

I like this one, it looks very.. organically mechanical. if that makes any sense at all.
