I did 2 versions of this, posted this one here and posted the other on my blog:

What do you guys think??

Very nice picture. I actually like the one on your blog a little better. The colors are a bit deeper, and shadows have a little more depth. Compositions is nice, and though its great the way it is, it looks like a picture you could have some fun messing around with.

A mí también me gusta más la del blog. Los pantalones y el cartón del suelo enriquecen el ambiente desenfadado y algo "sucio" de la escena.

This is great stuff - really interesting - love it!

Best,

First time I saw it, I didn't get the angle of the scene. That makes this an interesting image: you have to look twice, before my brains are satisfied. (in other words: I like the composition :p )

I have to agree with the other comments, that the one on your blog has a much better tonal range.
I do really like the colors that you have capture here.

I wonder if the one on your blog is better liked because of the dark background colors of you site vs. the white background here. I am not so sure the color depth is that much different, but the colors against the dark background do pop a bit more. Great shot never less.

Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 month ago:

@0Jim: It's both. I regularly do 2 conversion one for Vazaar and one for my blog and OnExposure both which have gray or black backgrounds. But, this one is really a case where I did a whole different approach to the one on my blog, including a vignette and some film grain added.

Thanks for the comments everybody.

I didn't see much difference, either, aside from a bit of shadowing in the top/right corner.

It's a great shot. Would maybe like more 'ground' if it were possible, to give a more 'empty' feel.

Love the shot but I would like to see you crop out from the bottom of the blue graffiti down. The reason is that it adds a surreal feeling to it (like Eschers stairs) where you don't know if the left side is reall the horizon or the right.

I have such a fascination with graffiti. I think this is an art all on it's own. You've captured this well, as usual. Love the colors and grittiness (is that a word) of the photo. True Urban Art...
