I don't know what it is but I am really enjoying this picture. I am getting an Elephant/ dog feel of the green on the right. I would love to see this wil a bit more of the red color coming through (i.e. a photoshopped version).

Thanks, Bowden, I actually had this more saturated at one point but felt it looked fake. It's the same impression you get when you look at these little guys at the plant store, they look painted or fake. This was an interesting approach to the color treatment that I had read about but never tried. I first developed this as a fairly high contrast B&W and then using the original color layer and the "Color" transfer mode I put the chroma back on top. It gives this nice grainy/high contrast look. I kinda like it. You basically control the saturation by the opacity of that "Color" layer.

I like this a lot. Have you considered cropping just maybe 10-15 pixels at the top? I am not sure about it but I have a feeling it'll have better balance overall without the top 10 pixels. Great image regardless!

j'aime cette photo pour une raison, elle me raconte une histoire, la rencontre de deux plantes, une caresse, de la tendresse. j'aurais peut ĂȘtre fait un cadrage plus serrĂ© sur le bas. Tout ce noir en haut de la photo, noie un peu la photo.
