It can't be you, unless you've got a male pen name.

Very nice scene. It's like movie that has been pauzed and you want to see what is coming.

Interesting colour and pattern emphasized by the narrow DoF.

Hi There...

I'm currently runnign a photgraphy exhibition on the theme of "Mass" & I find this photo of yours just perfect for that. The exhibition is set to present nearly 60 photos by pro, amature & photographers all over Iran. It is sponsored by Hitachi, so it wouldn't cost you at all, it will be run by www.moosville.com & www.parkingallery.com

Just let me know if you're interested to particiapte.
Thanks :)

Stunning colours!
Did you process the image much or is it out of the camera? I suspect processed but thought I'd check.
Either way, damn good shot.

Intense!
But you'll have to explain what we're seeing here!

A flower in a washing machine, of course...why didn't I think of it.

Seriously - great color and interesting quality of light. You fit a round object in a square space - nice!

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 2 years ago:

Very intriguing image. I like the use of light (appears to be backlit) and the yellow. Not sure what I am looking at, but it looks floral, perhaps in a basket. (?)

chefron (Ron Ernst) added a critique 2 years ago:

who picked the border?

TammyLynn (Tammy) added a critique 2 years ago:

This shot has the potential to be a great shot. You've captured your subject well. The grain and boarder you've added takes away from the photograph. I'd go as far as to say it ruins the otherwise great shot. To focus more on the original shot, I'd say the blown out bits in her hair are a bit distracting, but not so much as to ruin the shot. The framing could be better by putting her eyes more in the upper right third of the photo, leaving a bit of blank space on the left where she is looking. The focus seems to be ok as best I can tell. The dof is fine, though a bit less might have been better and would have made the background less distracting. A bit more light on the face and especially in the eyes would have been nice. Still a great capture though.

APBob (Bob Eddings) added a critique 2 years ago:

1) 'Detour' is spot-on regarding the cropping; perhaps the most important potential improvement you could make.
2) Everyone else is correct about eliminating the border.
3) I'm confused about the unwanted texture. It almost looks like a light reflection from something out-of-frame on the left, or like you were shooting through a window with reflections. If it's an intentional addition, then I'd recommend against it.
4) Reverse the lighting relationship between the hair and face; tone down the hilights in the hair and punch up the lighting in the face. This person also has beautiful, light irises and those could be enhanced (lightened) a bit for further emphasis.
5) focus, DOF, and toning are just right.

Oh, me bad... I should mention that this is a composite of three rapid-fire shots of the same Meerkat. Didn't mean to mislead, just forgot to say.

Great job compiling these for this shot!

Nice and simple subject.
Would like to see some more contrast just to clean up the grey/bland background and really make the subject pop a bit more.
