Think you can crop it to avoid too centered image in order to give more attention to sky or sand.

love how the sand looks like snow
larsomat (Lars Pohlmann) added a critique 2 months ago:
perfect as it is. no cropping needed.

Its a great shot, but since you want a critique, the only thing I can think of is to remove some sand from the bottom and a little part of the left of the image. I guess it could be done either way, showing more of sky or sand. My two cents :)

The way I rate this topic is to ask myself, "does this feel like a picture I might find in an old collection?" This shot has that feel to me. Many of the shots I run across while lookng through old albums are just like this. You ask yourself, "what was he taking a picture of?" That become part of the charm. So, I like this shot. Particularly for this topic!

Glad this got the recognition it deserves. Congrats on the feature. The more I look at it the more I think this could (should) be an album cover!

Aesthetic of countercultural, inspiring a feeling of bohemian romanticism. lovely.

This one is just rad. Love the colors and how the face is in those subtle shades of darkness. It's one of those images that gets better the more I look at it.

I love jeninja's comment. To me this evokes mystery and desire.

it's a nice picture, it's all soft. i think i would like it more if it was cropped on the left side a little, less central.
Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:
Pretty. I think a less centered and tighter crop would help.
Dite (Aurora Demasi) said 1 year ago:
thank you all! Anyway, I made it not-centred on purpose.. :)

The expression is cool, but I'm not sure about the angle. The framing is interesting, it's a choice. The background could be darkened but I'd like to see more light on the face.
eli (Elijah Woolery) added a critique 1 year ago:
The compostion works ok for me, but I agree that the lighting is off...either harsher shadows to really isolate the forms of the face, or more light in the eyes might help.

thats a real person picture!
I like it!
