This is Loki, a Pomeranian who lives on 73rd Street. He's named after the Norse god of Treachery.

Nice pic. I love Poms. Used to have two of them, but they passed on. Treachery is a pretty ferocious concept for a Pom, lol.

The shoes make the photo here.
Ana (Ana Cortez) said 9 months ago:
I totally dig those shoes.
It's like "catch their attention with the dog....hypnotize them with the shoes....then run off with their wallet! Mwhahahahaha"

This is a cute dog. Looks very inquisitive.

Wow, gotta love Vazaar. I posted this a long time ago, and totally forgot about it... but then it gets featured. A little Hannukah gift for me. Sweet.

Crisp, colourful, composition, flying arms, and you even got in the American flag too! love it!
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Hey, thanks for noticing! I got a lot of grief recently for including the flag - not because it is the flag, but rather because people felt that it was disruptive to the composition. I quite like it, and think it really ties it together.

Another one of yours where I really like the lighting & dynamic that you've captured. The fire escape shadows are terrific!
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Thank you. I like the escape shadow too, but I was always a little unhappy with this shot. I thought I made a noob mistake here. I kept it on Av, and had it set to f/2.8... which means I ended up with a DOF that is too shallow. The boxes in the front are soft, and they should be sharper. Also, I don't like that I cut off the stroller wheels... but we're always our own worst critics.

I really enjoy the DOF of this photo. Very interesting location also. What kind of place is this? Very sharp, great tone & lighting!
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Hehehe... thanks. It's a sushi restaurant in Berlin. The food comes around on little boats like that and you pick up whatever you want to eat, and are then charged by the plate.
In this case I was using a very fast lens called a Noctilux openend to f/1.0 - but of course the DOF is so shallow that I just had to wait for food to sail into my shot.

Great abstract quality here. I dig it.
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Thanks man. Shot this with a 1960s Diana Clone camera that was handed out "for free" by Shakey's Pizza as part of a certain meal.
ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 1 year ago:
I love this one.
George said 1 year ago:
Damn! I need to eat at Shakey's more often. Even once. Cool shot. Reminds me of the funky restaurant at LAX.
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Hehehe... it IS the funky restaurant at LAX Airport.

Hey, I'm pleased this got featured. I spent the whole afternoon on an extremely windy day stalking these seagulls.

I like this shot and understand being pleased about the recognition when it took time to get the shot. :-)

Good DOF, nice portrait, good black and white treatment what else to say ? As you explain, initial instincts are better (but it's my point of view)

Old man's skin's tonal range is amazing!

This man looks like he has just been interrupted from his own world and has had to enter yours reluctantly for just one moment, the two seperate focal depths enhance this greatly, pulling him into focus in your world, leaving his a blur for a moment.
awesome

great shot ! I like the combination of the metal with the red colors. The framing really accentuates the overdose on lines in this picture. The moving train is a plus !
caryscott (Cary Scott) said 1 year ago:
Great Shot. I love the colors and composition and the eye seen through the blur on the left is intriguing. I'm guessing it's a poster.
Flatline (Iron Flatline) said 1 year ago:
Glad you both like it. Yeah, this one was fun. I wanted to go back and reshoot with the goal of doing something cool regarding the eye poster reflection, but it had been changed to something else by the time I got back there. This is Berlin is summer - can you believe it's 9 PM at night when I took this shot?
taikrixel (thomas mueller) said 1 year ago:
a really perfect shot. i like the composition of the lines and the blurred train.
Love this one. Excellent use of the building to frame the buildings.
Way great.
