so that's what a snowstorm looks like...don't get much of that down here in l.a....[lower alabama]...i like this...don't really know how to critique it though. But I like it.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 2 months ago:
Beautiful feel and tone you have captured here. Nice job. The only thought I have about improvement is perhaps to crop the top and bottom a bit. It might help create a feeling of emptiness and scope.
sambhara (Michael Bogdan) added a critique 2 months ago:
I like the shot a lot, I think i'd like it more if it were a tad cooler and if the darker areas got a little boost. just slight though on both of those. otherwise its great..

Nice picture and a great fit on the theme. Love its mood.

Nice shot with this dust !

Very nice, the early morning fog/haze thing really works in this shot.
HuubL said 4 months ago:
Not sure if I did something wrong, but I added this photo to a second Topic and now it is back on top of the queue...
Please let me know if this is allowed, otherwise I'll delete it from the "Fog" topic.
Thea (CA Taylor) added a critique 3 months ago:
The haze, the cart, and the uneven road all work to give you an idea of what traveling here must be like, the photo works well just as it is.

Background has a bit of a fairytale-feeling to it, like a painting. And I like this new meets old. A bit tilted but other than that, Brilliant!!

I really like the painterly effect on this one. Lovely tones. Nice work.

instant fave! again wish vazaar's background wasn't white...

Agree with the above comments. All positive and I would like to add that the dof that you have used to keep the tree on the right in focus adds beautifully to the scene. Well done.
lightningPaul (Paul) added a critique 1 month ago:
Very good image! The mood and composition are very good. The colors are special and unique because it contains warm and cold tones.
Personally I don't see much improvement for this image, except the darker little tree(s) behind the three on a row trees is a little bit disturbing. But on the other hand I suppose that a chainsaw was not an option to use here :-)

Ik heb even iets uitgeprobeerd: www.edelsmidhansmulder.nl/Sufkipje/Losse%20fotos/e...

Wow...you can't even tell that it's 2 pictures put together! Good job on that. I think it's a good picture, except for the low quality.
chaba (David Chabashvili) added a critique 2 months ago:
Good work. I would add some more drama to the sky here. Also in my view the composition is just too tight.

Thanks Jim. If you both feel the square format would be better here, I'll try it out one day. Problem is that this is low quality scan of a print. Cropping would degrade the (low, I admit) quality even further. I'm still using film cameras a lot and to obtain the best digitals from slides/negatives, perhaps I should buy a neg scanner.

AmberDawn (Amber Sullivan) added a critique 2 months ago:
I like the lines created by the full-size (not square), makes him look impatient to get going to wherever that leads. The leash did throw me for a bit, but I too like my photos straight from the cam.
Ladybug (Lisa Ruokis) added a critique 2 months ago:
What a stunning capture ~ a very unique perspective. The reflection totally makes it for me. :)
sambhara (Michael Bogdan) added a critique 2 months ago:
I agree with soreks that you should photoshop out the leash. I don't however feel cropping is necessary as I like the lost dog in a crazy world feel it lends to....

I really like how you captured the mist in the background, adds a very mysterious feeling to the photo. While I do like the windmill in this photo, It would also be very interesting to see the same photo without the windmill! Great job!
warreagle (Amy Warr) added a critique 2 months ago:
coloring is really nice, perhaps a touch more contrast to make everything stand out a little more?
boyd added a critique 2 months ago:
I agree with the positives above, particularly in relation to the colour. If there is one area that might improve the composition slightly might have been to tilt up slightly so that the upper windmill blade could have been cropped slightly higher so as not to cut the solid part (very minor indeed). Good shot, well done.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 2 months ago:
I agree with Boyd, my thoughts exactly.

I like the graphic feel of this quite a bit. The silhouettes are very nice also. For critique, well, not much. Maybe don't cutoff the tip of the diamond shape at the top, show a little more of the ceiling. Maybe if you had moved a couple of inches to your right to try to center the point of the large white structure more in the middle between the 2 walking people.
HuubL said 2 months ago:
Clyde, I agree with all you say.
boyd added a critique 2 months ago:
I agree with Clyde that there is not much wrong with this shot at all. I like your exposure here to capture a great range of tones that sets off the graphic nature of the image beautifully. Well done.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 2 months ago:
I'm in agreement too. My first thought was, "great range of tones." I think you presented them well.

Enhorabuena. Saludos
Cripes, my fingers feel cold just looking at this shot. I like the evenness of the exposure and the good detail in the trees. Very neat work.
