Tres beau, d accord avec tous rien a changez,
a prendre .

lasiate said 1 year ago:

pour le manque de focus c'est plutot la compression

PhotoDaniels (Stephanie Daniels) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a wonderful shot! I tend to agree with the wider angle for this shot, I think it would have taken out the lack of anything going on in the bottom left and given you room to let us see what's going on to the left a little bit more. This is beautiful! I love the way you've capture the color with that ominous sky!

Sonoma added a critique 11 months ago:

I love it. I only wish the guy in front was the only person in the photo.

The sky is beautiful... i love the color contrast of the sky

diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a beautiful image that can only be improved by removing the bottom 2/3 of the gloden grass. It draws way too much attention to the bottom of the picture. Other than that it is breathtaking. nice job.

i like these sunbeams. fantastic!

Michael (Michael Bakker) added a critique 1 year ago:

only a litle bit cropping and less bleu would be a great photo i think..

phocrastinating (Prasanth V) added a critique 11 months ago:

Great job. I think the sky should be more colorful though.

The reflection works very well. I find it hard to tell whether or not, the blur and overexposure in the top part is on purpose. Anyways, it works. An idea for another version would be knife sharp photograph. The cracked walls, the bridge and the boat hold many details you could bring forward.

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:

The over-exposed buildings on the left trouble me a bit as does what seems to be a slight lack of focus in the area of the bridge. The reflections are good and the perspective/composition are very fine.

marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 1 year ago:

i agree with previous comment
i find it unusual to see reflection more sharp then
the upper subject (a freak of nature?), maybe a little dodge and burn on the main building could help, just a tougth

I really find the exposure suitable. I guess many would normally characterize this amount of exposure as too blown out, but in this case - perhaps with the category in mind - it works great. The angle you captured this dear (it is a dear, right?) in is also great - not that I find myself a pervert.

mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the angle of this.
It reminds me of a model posing for a shot!

TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 1 year ago:

I also like the angle. Nice capture and timing of the dear. ♥

dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:

I guess you can say we all like the angle. I like the way it seems that dear is looking right at you. But forgive me, I think the exposure is too blown out a bit. But still like this shot a lot!

marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) said 1 year ago:

Thank all. There allways a story behind a photo
The surreal effect i had in mind was creating a kind of brush fire in front of the dear, so when it stop and look at me ( i was stalking him for 40 minute and was now 30 feet behind and finally put my feet on a branch that crack)Is question would have been:
Were to go, fire ahead or that human behind?

I dont like the blury figure. It distracts me.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

The personne is a little bit too blury.
It's not necessary to put a personne; this landscape and its photography are beautiful enough.

schupin (Sylvain chupin) added a critique 1 year ago:

The blurry person could have it place here in response to the fog. But I think this picture would have been better without this guy.

philippe (Philippe Reichert) added a critique 1 year ago:

Well, I like the blurry figure.

;o)

InsertCoins (Sune Scheller) added a critique 1 year ago:

I don't if I'm the only one who have noticed that the persons right hand - in it's two main positions - sort of looks like a pair of eyes of creepy creature, witch is very small or is sitting down. It's awesome. And you gotta admit; that a creepy creature there is wearing snickers is a bit surreal.

I really love the subtle tones of this picture.

PhotoDaniels (Stephanie Daniels) said 1 year ago:

Beautiful shot! I'm not sure about the processing on the frame of the picture but I love the tone and contrast in the clouds! It's beautiful!

InsertCoins (Sune Scheller) said 1 year ago:

I agree with the choice of tones, they really 'do it'. A small thing is white halo effect around the trees, but it's almost invisible. In my opinion the frame sort of nails the granny look. It's very neat.

This does not look like a car, but an UFO, that did fly there. Very good work. No problem with the star.

diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:

Very very cool capture....would probably look awesome with a blue matt.

cutebutstupid (Amy Baxter) added a critique 1 year ago:

Impressive image. The trail lights give an excellent line of infinity.

aepoc (Jason Kessenich) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this photo a lot. I think if we could see a little bit more of the left side of it, the shot would be a lot better. Maybe paint it with a flashlight or something during the exposure... just so we can see what we're looking at.

InsertCoins (Sune Scheller) said 1 year ago:

First of all; thanks for all the constructive criticism. Second:

#Beamer: I did considered the stars significance in the photograph, but I came to the conclusion that it sort of completed the scenery a bit more than if left out. Second, the photograph hasn’t received any post processing whatsoever and I preferred to keep it that way.

#diezel99: I tried your suggestion and you are able to get a neat result. However, as mentioned before, I sought to keep it out of Photoshop’s endless possibilities. Not that I don’t like the whole idea of post processing, but in this instance. Also the photograph is a 30 sec shutter exposure with 1600 ISO, so the danger of noise is overwhelming.

#aepoc: I didn’t bring a flashlight that night, but I do like your idea a lot. The site is not far from where I live, so I definitely will try your idea, though I think it has to be close to some sort of ‘Batman spotlight’ to do the work. Perhaps a HDR will do the trick.

For general information I can tell you, that it is taken from the side of a freeway running through the Swiss Alps. So what you can’t see is two mountain sides covered with trees, with the freeway ‘cutting’ it’s way throughout the cliff.
