I did this recently with a rocking chair (small one) and it's tough to resist this kind of light and shadow, no matter what the 'subject.' A "lower the ground" shot might be neat, too!

I really like this one... To me this is of those images that's all about stopping and appreciating the little, interesting occurrences in life... Sometimes the light just hits ordinary objects in an appealing way... sometimes shadows surround things and frame them well. (I think the shadows create a pleasing composition here.)
Particularly in the context of the "Light and Shadows" topic, I find myself enjoying this one quite a bit.

I like it much. This light from ouside falling through the windwo gives anything inside a wonderful appearence....!!!

I love it when an old post like this rises to the top!

There is nothing better than to know the chores are done.
This speaks volumes to those who are plagued with mountains of washing.
It celebrates the ordinary. And the tangled light and shadow give structure. I like!

Really like the composition you've chosen. the curve throughout the picture create an dreamlike feel. Have you tried to defocus the left side of the car? Would love to know what that looks like - if it works or not?
Jens (Jens Hoffmann) said 1 year ago:
Thank you. :)
No I did not try to defocus the left side. It is my personal challnge and attitude not to use any PS for the scans of analogue prints except to compare the weakness aof the scanner. Everything else for me must be done with camera and in the darkroom :)

Awesome cemetery! The history represented here would be fascinating. Reading the tombstones..... I could spend days at a place like this.

Thank you! :-)
This goes to show that I really don't have a clue about the tastes of this group. I thought this one would be disliked because of the processing. It's digital Arne. And I used the high key glow effect on it, which is what I thought people would hate. Glad I was wrong though. ;-)

Well done! Love the cowboy's face and I think I'd miss the rope if it were cropped.
Very dynamic. I like it a lot!!
