Nice! I like unaranged real life compositions. Why don't you add it to 'selective saturation', too?
I've got one real comment: it's a bit pity the giant car disturbes the background. The smaller black car isn't annoying me.

Thanks Tamara :)
I agree about the cars. Bummer.

This is a nice shot. The comp. is good, but the subject's face and hat appear to be slightly overexposed. Good use of grayscale.
Best, Jon

I agree with jvgphoto...the pic is great but the subjects face is just too bright
Lemmingstone (Peter) said 9 months ago:
Thanks people. I agree with you both. The face and hat are too bright. I should have tried to correct this in post processing. The rider caught a little sun in the face just at the wrong time. Thanks again.

it's a good comp (i agree for the faceà but it's still a good photo

Thanks again everyone. Much appreciated.
VT - That is the exact look I was going for - "crossed-lomoholganized-artsy-fartsy-something". Couldn't have described it better :)

looks like an old photograph with a lot of history ... normally i don't like heavy editing or added layers, but this is an interesting shot! nice work!
grahambo (Graham Siebe) added a critique 1 year ago:
I don't normally go for this sort of thing, but this really works for me. I think it comes down to a couple things:
1. The photo has more interesting details than before.
2. As Lindy said, it fits the subject (LA).

Thanks again everyone.
This boat is a bulk carrier called the Pasha Bulker. It ran aground on Nobbys Beach in Newcastle, NSW Australia on 8th June this year. On the 8th & 9th June Newcastle had its worst weather in 35 years. Plenty of damage, some loss of life etc but this was the most talked about event.
Newcastle is a harbour city and we are used to seeing these huge ships off the coast. Just not ON the coast.

Excelente fotografia. Gran variedad de tonos de herrumbre y texturas, puede pasar por un cuadro abstracto. ¡Felicidades!
Congratulations, Peter!
