You have done an excellent job of making this place in the forest look really creepy... but in a very cool way. Nice and magical!

I like the composition of this picture. You had the sunlight appearing in between the trees and an 'entrance' like scene in a colourful world.
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) added a critique 6 months ago:
Nice photo. The forest is founderful. New Zeland :)

Looks like you were a member of the crew from LotR of Harry Potter. ;)
I have nothing to add to the compliments already given. It's just amazing!

You know, these are rare enough to see in Britain, let alone capture so crisply.
Lovely.

Very impressive shot!
Simple framing - and I love the negative space

throw out the rings . will be better
Ramon (Alex Ramon) added a critique 1 year ago:
This image has a weird feel to it, but I like it. I agree that it would have more impact if the chrome rims weren't distracting, but otherwise it's an excellent composition!
Udower (Udo Weier) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like the composition. Especial the green colour and the crack in the floor. I think also the photo is better without the metal rings. Although it`s a wonderful photo

This photo has a classic feel, and the light works very well. Without the light it wouldn't have the right feel to it... nicely done!

Great shot! I love the clarity in the sunglasses. It might have a bit more impact if the earpiece wasn't cutting across the bottom of the lens, but that is just a nit-picky detail. Well done!!
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:
I love the clouds above the rim of the glasses even more than those emphasized by the lenses. As for the house, I experimented with rolling my screen down to block it out altogether (simulating a crop just below the glasses) and I think the photo becomes even better. Just as it is, though, it's a fine image with good clarity and fantastic clouds.

Thank you to everyone who commented. I am humbly surprised... I always loved this photo, but I didn't think anyone would agree with me. =)
I am also a little surprised that so many people feel the highlights are blown. I'm sure you're right, I just never noticed, and still don't fully understand. It however is a fabulous illustration to me of what I still need to learn. Can someone help me understand? Is it the fact that there are large areas in the clouds that don't retain any detail or is there something else I'm not uderstanding?
And thank you everyone for the input on the vignetting. I'm still exporing different ways to achieve these types of effects and the visions I have in my head don't always suit the photo, or even suit my skill level.
Thanks everyone.

Excellent ! What a clever composition... the way you framed this pic makes it all. Congrats !
CodeRed (Cody Redmon) added a critique 1 year ago:
Indeed, a great composition. I'd like to see this in black and white or a slightly-warmed duotone. Regarding tone, I notice a slight disparity between the left and right halves of the image that is a bit distracting, but it may have been intentional. Regardless, fantastic work!
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:
Thanks, again, for all the comments. CodeRed, I added a gradient to this photo which probably accounts for the disparity.
PhotoDaniels (Stephanie Daniels) added a critique 1 year ago:
Fantastic image! I would love to see this in black and white, too!! The window on the left does visually feel like it's running out of view but that could be intentional. Overall, this is excellent!!!
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:
@PhotoDaniels. The photo is cropped close to the left window because the edge of the building lies just beyond the frame and the background beyond was quite distracting. I tried B&W, but didn't like it nearly as much as the color version. Thanks for your comment.

Really wonderful picture. The post processing does give it the extra color and dreamy style it needed.
