I like pictures of hotel rooms. I like this feeling of loneliness, that you don't belong here, something like that... The TV screen is blown out, but I like it like this. I also like Dr Phil ready for a handshake... And: don't give up, try again!
:o)
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) said 18 days ago:
Well OK I don't think this photograph deserves the feature, sorry but it's just not that good.
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 18 days ago:
Well, OK then.
Pixim (Eric) said 18 days ago:
I disagree with Bastian, because we have 2 pip in only one photograph ;)

I keep being drawn to that expectant belly.
Always a miracle to me!I've seen lots of people with missing parts, but I feel that this is one brave woman.I hope she gets to see her grandchildren!

Due to my work, I see this almost every day. A lot of women are 'warning' me for, what they call for themself, ugly body. They don't realize it's part of my job and I see it multiple times a day.
I see these women (and don't forget: a breast tumor can also be found in a man's breast) from the beginning when they have both their breast and coming for their first mammography and later on. So many people, so many ways to cope with it.
Images like this help to get people concious about the need for checking your breast every month. Furthermore it's also helpfull for women (and men) who did had a breast amputation and feeling accepted in society, they don't have to feel 'ugly' anymore.
Ricardo, you did a good job with adding this photo on Vazaar. It's isn't shocking, it is reality.

I disagree with the above. The topic is Beach not person. I think the mystery surrounding the person works well. I like it as is. Wonderful work.

I actually agree with Sher on this one. Although I do wonder what a straight b/w would like. Wonderful idea!

¡Enhorabuena!

Cool !!! I'm happy it has been featured.

I really don't see much to improve here. One thing could be the shadows. I'd probably light that guy up just a little bit so that a little more detail is visible, but it would be really a fine tweak. I'm not sure what that thing is that hangs there on the third bar, but when I think about it, the photo would lose something if that would have been removed.
Really, that's a great shot!

@diezel99, did you notice the topic?? "Abstract Objects" I understand you comment, but for this topic, I think what you describe as not liking is exactly what the topic intended.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:
I really like this one, Beamer. The whispy nature just adds to the flow of the colors. And I agree that it is better on your website with the dark gray background. (I might also add, it's a pretty creative use for "a bunch of cables in the equipment room of a computer graphics studio.")
lolly (lolly smits) added a critique 1 year ago:
Interesting, painting, can see it on my wall.
Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:
Wonderful abstract Beamer. Abstract is your interpretation of the subject, not someone elses. Nice capture!

Clyde,
This works for me - strong composition and very nice work overall!
Thanks for sharing these two examples of some of your abstract work; a good encouragement for me.

Oh man, she looks sweet! Adorable, really :) It can be minimalistic because of the relative small space she takes in this picture, though you could have strongened the effect by adding some white space on the left and on top (just open a new document in photoshop which is bigger than the picture, copy/paste end blur the spots that doesn't fit the white). But I love the picture the way it is now :)
byutanner (Jason Tanner) said 1 year ago:
Thanks Soyrosa. That's a good thought. I could set it to a neutral since around her isn't blown out either. Thanks!

It's a beautiful portrait of your niece. Nothing to be critical of from my point of view. Nice work Jason!

You don't need to change a thing. An excellent shot. Bold colour, crisp feeling and great DOF.
Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree, excellent photo. I wouldn't change anything.

Great shot! I find that I focus on the blur more than the shoes in the front.

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
Really nice! I'd like to see the focus further down in the line a little... might prefer it, don't know. That would lead me into the picture some more. Beautiful capture.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 8 months ago:
Very nice capture! The shoes in the foreground really pop, and that's the idea, i think with this shot. I might have cropped a little also.
Best,
Jon

very nice and very cute. the top of the cats head seems a little over exposed-it would have been nicer to see the definition of the cats head-but still a nice capture!
Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:
Thank you for your comments!
Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
I'd love to see more contrast to bring out her freckles and the cat's stripes - but that would "expose the overexposure" even more. If the direction of the lighting for the cat's head could have been controlled, could have maybe avoided that. Fantastic composition and 11 out of 10 on the cute scale :)
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 8 months ago:
Well, it's cute enough - that's a given, I guess. I still think this could be saved with some PS. Nice capture!
Cheers,
Jon

I spent ages taking photos of my television trying to get something decent for this subject. (The only one that turned out well was for a toilet cleaner!).
I really like this photo, I like the soft background feeling against the crispness of the TV picture. Much better than any of my attempts at the same idea!
