Awww...so cute!!! I just think this is really sweet.

Paulforrester (Paul Forrester) added a critique 1 year ago:

very nice and very cute. the top of the cats head seems a little over exposed-it would have been nicer to see the definition of the cats head-but still a nice capture!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:

Thank you for your comments!

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:

I'd love to see more contrast to bring out her freckles and the cat's stripes - but that would "expose the overexposure" even more. If the direction of the lighting for the cat's head could have been controlled, could have maybe avoided that. Fantastic composition and 11 out of 10 on the cute scale :)

Well, it's cute enough - that's a given, I guess. I still think this could be saved with some PS. Nice capture!

Cheers,
Jon

Nice picture.I only could critizise the free space at the right of the photo. A closer Frame would put more focus on the flower, I think.

guffy (Stefan Karlstrom) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice photo, but it is too midtone grayish for me.

lolly (lolly smits) added a critique 1 year ago:

The grain adds to the romantic effect of the bud. Only distracting thing for me is the spots on the right. love it.

Sher,

Very personal and beautiful work. I think Lolly right in regards to the spots on the right hand side of your photo.

Cheers,
Jon

I wanted to say:The background is very pleasant and emphasizes the sheets

Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 1 year ago:

this one is pretty good.

PhotoDaniels (Stephanie Daniels) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this. The purple is a little bright but I really like the overall effect! I agree with Pixim; maybe if you softened it up a bit, the purple wouldn't be so harsh and blend more with the top of the image.

Overall, well done!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:

Pixim - Thanks for commenting. I agree with you about the spot on top of the photo, that was the main reason I asked for critiques!

Bastian - Thanks for the nice comment!

Stephanie - Again, I agree and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Much appreciated everyone!

I really like this.
And once again I wanna know!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:

Carl - This photo is actually a piece of linoleum that is off white and pink in color. Using Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI - I just did a bit of sharpening, some contrast, and then used the "neon" effect to make it look like this.

mysight (Carl H. Sr.) said 1 year ago:

Cool,thanks.

I hadn't realized you are such an abstractist! I wanna see some more from you in this topic... ;~D

Impressive colours, it's hard to believe that you haven't added saturation during PP. Good composition with the tree silhouettes as well!

AnaGaztelu (Ana Gaztelu) added a critique 1 year ago:

Los colores son impresionantes y las siluetas en negro encajan como piezas de un puzzle.

Fantastic shot. The colors are increible. I love the way the tress look against the red.

The swerving tire tracks add drama to the shot. Showing that the road is slick. Good photo.

Andrew - Don't you like all that birthing stuff then?

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:

Hehe...nah this is not my cup of tea, I'm afraid Sher. Just like I didn't think too much of Damian Hirst's half calf artwork...
Still, each to their own!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:

Actually, it is kind of a "ewww" photo. And I surely don't intend to focus on this type of photography either, but the opportunity was there to photograph a new life at the moment it began, and that doesn't happen all that often.

Sonoma added a critique 11 months ago:

Wow, great shot of a brand new life. This really captures the emotion. Nice work.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 11 months ago:

Thanks Sonoma!

Whatever it is, it's very interesting! Highly graphic, lustrous. :~)))

MMeye (Martine) said 11 months ago:

IMHO this is abstract, but not really fitting this topic.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 11 months ago:

This is one of those little wooden back massagers - the kind with "wheels" on it - captured in a new, different, or exciting way (as the topic states!)

Thanks for the comments lolly and MMeye.

Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 year ago:

This is really close...you have a great motive and a really nice capture. Just a bit of lens distortion correction to make it perfectly rectilinear and bingo you have a GREAT, very graphic, very strong image.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Beamer - I played around more with this photo ages ago and submitted it here: www.vazaar.com/user:Sher/photos/id:8333/

Really cool shot . . . I think this would also look great in b&w.
