Am I missing something??? Where is/are the "Boats"?
alek (alek lindus) said 2 years ago:
well there is a boat there beamer, perhaps with a magnifying glass granted, but surely a harbour is enough of a suggestion of a boat where a boat could be so to speak,
then again perhaps all the boats have sailed
thanks for the comments

I'm sorry, but I don't see what the motion blur adds to the subject...
alek (alek lindus) said 2 years ago:
there was no motion blur added to the subject i took the photo through the lens of my sunglasses, which also happen to be prescrition lenses.
that it dosn't work for you i accept and thanks for commenting
jaapv said 2 years ago:
It really doesn't, but then this type of work is always controversial. I've seen other blurs by your hand (like 19423) which I like much better.
alek (alek lindus) said 2 years ago:
fair comment i don't disagree

great texture and visual play on scale; take me to the desert on a macro shot
grahambo (Graham Siebe) said 2 years ago:
It's not actually very macro. These are temperature layers in snow being eroded by wind.
grahambo (Graham Siebe) said 2 years ago:
The area pictured is maybe 2 feet (1.5 meters) across.

dark, bur very classic !
maybe a (very) slight bright up to make the dent look less dominant.

This is just beautiful, and reminds me of my own father's images. He would be a proud man had he produced something as good as this.
