gina, this building is called "tulpenfeld" and is located in bonn, germany. it is one of the former government-buildings left from the time bonn was the capitol of germany. here is another view:

Thanks so much for your kind words! You're probably not going to believe this, but this was the very first "serious" picture I ever took! It has received a little pp in Picasa (that's all I could master way back in Oct. 2006!). The point is, the original was dull and flat, but you could just see the pattern made by the petrol on the wet ground. I brought out the colours with a little trial and error, and gosh darn it if I didn't hop off the page! I'm proud of this, and always will be, this is what convinced me to get stuck in and make photography my hobby.
