Great eye for composition. I'm a big fan of minimalist photographs, and that one works very well IMO.

Nice shades of blue, reminds me of a beach with waves. I like how the water droplets seem to be floating off into space.

There is a lot going on in this image: interesting composition, textures, colors, detail. Very well done.

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) said 1 year ago:

Thanks so much for your kind words! You're probably not going to believe this, but this was the very first "serious" picture I ever took! It has received a little pp in Picasa (that's all I could master way back in Oct. 2006!). The point is, the original was dull and flat, but you could just see the pattern made by the petrol on the wet ground. I brought out the colours with a little trial and error, and gosh darn it if I didn't hop off the page! I'm proud of this, and always will be, this is what convinced me to get stuck in and make photography my hobby.

flipthom said 1 year ago:

Very nicely done. And it's even better to learn the sentimental value behind it.

Congrats!

Probably my favorite so far on this topic. Great minimalist composition, beautiful color, and the detail that makes this image a winner.

philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 1 year ago:

I really, really like this picture, but I think it would fit better in minimalism.
