I really like this. Where did you shoot it?

eggplant (Matt) said 1 year ago:

I'm glad this made it. I love the expression on her face, and that shade of green goes with the soft texture of the shot.

I love this shot. It feels as if the clocks go on for ever...a great statement of time passage.

Shot as seen - no photoshop

eggplant (Matt) said 1 year ago:

Beautiful mood...red and black is a wonderful combination, especially in this sort of contrasty situation. And, I love the crop, too.

Trying to work out what this is. Love the details in the droplets.

eggplant (Matt) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Heath (and good to hear from you). This is the vent on the top of a classic Weber charcoal grill on a beautiful morning after a soothing summer night's rain. I just couldn't resist how lusciously these rain drops were beading up on the slick surface.

eggplant (Matt) said 1 year ago:

This is really neat. Can you explain what is going on here?

iko (Olivier Petit) said 1 year ago:

Not much really, I just tried to move the world with my mind. Ok, this world is really small, but you have to start somewhere, don't you ?

defrost (Jesse Yardley) added a critique 1 year ago:

This photo is very creative! You've used a lot of negative space at the top of the frame for a very dramatic effect. I'd love to see this photo with a bit of shading in the sky (darker near the top, lighter near the horizon) to focus your eyes down to the tree even more. This could be achieved in Photoshop or with a graduated neutral density filter.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Lovely photo bbonner. For me, I would like a closer view of the tree - for it to dominant the photo more. I am a bit distracted by the other trees.

MarkDM (Mark Dodge Medlin) added a critique 1 year ago:

You've set a great mood here - very lonely, cold and ominous-looking. I think the main tree pops out just fine, given the selective focus. The other trees add some context but are blurry enough not to get in the way.

Sher may be onto something, though, regarding those trees on the left. It would be interesting to see the trees on both edges cropped out, or maybe to see the shot as a vertical. I'm just ruminating, though - this is a very cool photo.

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

I really do love the feeling here. As for the composition, I'm with Sher...I'd like to see this tree more closely (say 50%) and moved to the left of the canvas, getting rid of the other trees on the left.
But, very cool feel to this.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

Strange feeling. I'd discentred the tree and less sky. Blur because of zooming don't distrub me (perhaps more clear on the tree).

I'm with the crowd on this one. I think it's too busy and since there does not appear to be any story being told by the many images, it doesn't seem to work. Points for trying something different though…

AdrianHancu (Adrian Hancu) added a critique 1 year ago:

There is an amazing "depth" to this image, feels like I could walk into the scene.

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this...it seems like a crazy, disjointed, out of control story that you are telling.

Mayne kamaki....thanks for comment ;)

uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) added a critique 1 year ago:

The colors and darkness are what make this image, IMO. If you look at this strictly from the perspective of what it is, the image may be boring, but if you look at this as an abstract, it is just great. There is nice texture and the blur of the blades is enough to give the feeling of motion.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Really good description, i like....
Thanks uncommondepth :)
