Actually, I know there's not much to really criticize about this photo, other than to say it is an obvious cliché. The reason I like it right now is that where I am it has not been above freezing for quite some time, an a warm summer rain seems soothing, and also because I like the pastel blurs of the zinnias through my window.

You are right. This is a difficult image to critique. It is one that you either like or dislike. There isn't anything to be suggested for improvement or to make the image better. For what it is, it is perfect. Could you have increased the dof to bring the gardens outside into focus? Yes, but you may have then lost the definition of the rain on the window.

I really like the image. It has a somber, lonely feeling to it.

It's a great photo of what we see on a rainy day and we don't really want to go outside.

I like it, and if it's a photo from within your home, I'd suggest that you keep it to remember that place and that day.

I think the little spots of red are what make this photo work... They fit nicely against the dark tones.

In respect to what Uncommondepth said, I agree that this image communicates a lonely sort of feel, but the red somehow adds a dash of optimism to that.

I'm not usually into photos of rain and flowers, but I like this. ;)

I like this image, it is vibrant and well executed; as you said, it is a bit cliché, but sometimes it is nice just to appreciate an image for what it is.

This is such a great shot - the red is wonderful here and really lifts this one out of the realm of the ordinary - very intriguing effect.
