A fine use of the vertical motif and grain for atmosphere.

Now is that a tree covered mountain? Very unusual but a great colour!
forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:
Ha! I am not sure how to answer that question. Yes, it is a tree covered mountain. All the mountains on the east coast of the Americas are tree covered. Funny thing is, if my geological memory is correct, these mountains were formed during the same orgeny that created those barren hills you photograph Bob!
This is Turk Mountain, of the Blue Ridge, in the very southern fringes of the Shenandoah National Park in central Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley is behind with the ridge and valley portion of the Appalachian Mountains in the distance.

I heard the applachians are more hills than mountains:) Great photo. I love the colors.

As this came up on my screen I said to myself...self, this looks just like the Blue Ridge. Hehehe, I was right. Great picture Bob.

Nice, just the blurred, blue stuff in the top left corner is disturbing.
forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:
Thanks Bastian. This is kind of a twisted shot. I worked hard while shooting to keep the willow trees behind the phragmites but could not quite get it. Also had to rotate the image which made the background trees askew.

Bob I really like the backlighting. Well done.

Great miniature landscape. I'm imagining if this mushroom were the size of a building (not sure why, but I am).

Is it a photohop effect or real blur ?
forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:
This is a radial blur added in post processing

Argh! I now noticed what Jen said about the picture moving if you move you move! Nice idea...
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
Congratulations on the feature Bob. That's pretty cool about the movement Jen was talking about.
