Felicidades. Saludos

I love those shades in the water. But... your signature is WAY to big! It destroyes your whole image! What a shame, becouse de rest is so beautiful. Can you tell us how you made this one? Is it with a underwater-camera?
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 2 months ago:
Very beautiful work - very sensual.
Best,
Jon
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 month ago:
I agree with Jon, this is quite nice. It has a very pleasing tone and abstract nature. I love the feeling of this. And, yes Tamara is right about your watermark.
imarchi (Imarchi Photo) said 1 month ago:
... ummmm, i'll have to reconsider about my watermark. this is not an underwater picture, this is taken over-water, hanging over a fountain. thanks for the comments!

I'm pretty sure this image is straight, it may not feel like it and I understand that may be more important. The spirit levels on my tripod head were level and straight. The houses have straight verticals and the bit of brighter beach that you can see near the left edge of the shot is straight. I will check the hi-res again tonight. Thanks all for the comments.

Nice golden glow. I like the arc of the water and the reflection.

Looks very creamy :)
I would suggest toning down the highlights a bit and increasing the shadows a little bit...just my two cents...

Delicious! Love it - well done.

Wow.
The beams of light, just perfect.
Great job with this and good to see that you are mastering this HDR!
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 month ago:
@ Boyd & Mike, don't really feel like a "master" yet. I still feel like I'm fumbling around with it. This may be one of my best attempts. I keep trying to get the advantage without the appearance of having used it...a tough balancing act for sure.
Thanks to all for commenting on this one!!

Great colors - great composition, Clyde. Sell it as a stock photo. Well done.
Best,
Jon
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 month ago:
Thanks jon!! I don't really know how to go about that. I looked into microstock about a year ago and they pretty much all said if you have sunsets and nice landscapes don't even bother...

Good idea, especially the composition and shallow DOF. It's hard to choose between color and b&w, but I think I like the b&w more. I love the reflections of the black keys!
Only minus imo: the reflection on the wooden board. I don't know for sure, but maybe a polarisation filter can prevent that (I'm experimenting with different kinds of filters myself at the moment).
erinelizzybeth (Erin) added a critique 2 months ago:
Great picture. I like the B&W, but i think i like the colour better.
ApurvaMadia (Apurva Madia) added a critique 2 months ago:
This is a wonderful image. In my opinion would be even better if 2 cm from the top is cropped out.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 2 months ago:
For me the color wins hands down - very beautiful work on this photo.
Cheers,
Jon
charcoal (Christie LaMountain) added a critique 1 month ago:
i also like the color one better but the white balance seems to be slightly off (too much blue)
i like the reflection in the keys
i also agree that you should try to crop out the top

The grain in this picture looks better in my opinion. Is there any way you can get rid of the halo around the subject?
charcoal (Christie LaMountain) added a critique 2 months ago:
this photo has too much noise. was a high iso used?
i really like the movement of the motorcycles, especially the one on the left.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 2 months ago:
For me, though I like this, boyd, the subject is a little too tightly cropped - a little more breathing room would have been a good thing. Keep up the good work.
Best,
Jon

This is one of my fav's on this series. My comment would be that the framing feels a little too tight, just losing the tip of her hat and the bottom of the one basket. Again, I am curious how you are scanning your film?

interesting postprocessing, but i think colour or bw would be cooler here. i'm not a friend of colour experiments!
mooch added a critique 1 month ago:
I like the idea. You have strong contrasting colours for a black and white but this image would have benefitted from a more selective use of colour. As suggested, perhaps just the one person.
Ludimaginary (Richard Vantielcke) added a critique 1 month ago:
Nice capture and beautiful frame... but I have some problems with the colorization in post-prod.
HuubL added a critique 1 month ago:
I don't mind the partial saturation, although the yellow in it is a little disturbing. It possibly is intensified by the blue. What I do like is the square pattern of the shining tiled floor contrasting with the circling dancing girls. It's supposed to be dynamic and should be busy.

I agree with Jon, the lighting feels very harsh for this subject. Nice moment, great expression on the face.
narnold (Noah Arnold) added a critique 1 month ago:
wonderful expression you've captured, I also love the eyes, it would be neat to see a closer shot of the child's face!!!
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 month ago:
Only critique is the flash.
Either bounce, or diffuse it to remove the harsh shadows.
Excellent expression and moment!
mosesport (Moses) added a critique 1 month ago:
I agree about the harsh lighting, but the expression is fantastic! Great shot!

i love shadows and think that in this case it makes the scene more dramatic and his reflection also expresses that very interesting
Well done portraite. You also may try to add smoke in PhotoShop ;)
