interesting idea for me too, but i would prefer if:
- the pic was a bit less dark, with more punchy colors/lights,
- the eye was less centered, and if there was less white on the left, and more paper on the right :)

If he's reading the paper, he has great close vision, because the edge of the page is touching his forehead just above his eye. The surface of that page is no more than 1 inch from his eye. This could be a great shot, but seems to fall short for a couple of reasons, some already mentioned. The composition/posing just feels forced/faked.

Just to make it clear: he's not reading, not pretending to read. He just didn't want to be photographed so he was trying to hide behind the newspaper. It's not forced at all. I agree that the composition could be a bit better but taking into account it's more or less a snapshot I'm quite satisfied.

Interesting idea! I can't help wondering if he is actually reading this newspaper? It seems like he is looking somewhere else ;)
