Love the graphic nature of this. The gradations of color and value are great.

That is a beautiful reflection, I like the fact you cannot see the horizon. I would try one thing though, to clone out some of the watermarks in the lower half. I think that would make the image even cleaner.

wonderful sense of space

Great shot. It's like out of a dream.
methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:
thanks.
zenith9, you're right, for sure. withal the fact that i was too lazy to tinker away at the watersurface, it was quite intentional to keep the picture at least somewhat real with these little gunks around. not an entirely succesful intention, if i consider angrybuddha's comment. controversaly, i've the same feeling about it, that's why i submitted it to a topic called "dreamscapes" on jpgmag.com; if you like it, you can vote on it here: jpgmag.com/photos/129775 (excuse me for the self-promo).

Wow. Just came across this one. What a fine image! The absent horizon makes this image exceptional.

Definitely one of my favorites in this theme. Strangely, it seems some people are living (?) in this place.
methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:
thanks a lot, folks.
jaco, it's a simple long exposure image (how long is crucial), slightly photoshopped (curves, unsharp mask, contrast), no hdri.
bio, you're right, the only things what make this image work are the dynamics of the brighter-darker parts and the signs of inhabitedness. és ne is álmodj róla, várom a bejárónőt.
philippe, i did not check it any closer than this but i think the same. surely not the regular ikea stuff and style, but there are obvious articles for personal use.

very nice composition, a bit busy though.
Maybe a b&w version could be better.

Wonderful job. It would be even more remarkable if you would place a figure in the image at low opacity to give him a ghostly apperance.

Composition original, great focus
could have been funnier with a fully black sheep head
but as we have to work with a mere second of event,it is still great take
keep on
