A simple item but you made a wonderful photo.

Nice job, Kevin! A straight forward and wonderfully clear shot with just a hint of shadow that allows one to appreciate the details that go into creating simple objects we encounter every day.

the only thing to mension for me is the composition, I would of placed the plants a little mor to the left..

Good evening (for me) Beamer, like mizztech, I find original these thorny silhouettes on this well collected sky. I am obstructed by this rock mass on the right which prevents me from having depth. With the next one.

the rock on the right is slightly distracting, but overall a very nice thorny silhouette, good shot.

Just like it as it is,very nice sky

I like the feeling of this image, which for me is the most important part of any art. From a technical standpoint the girl, her clothing and facial features are much too dark. I'm not sure if this was a result of boosting the contrast, a bit of back lighting or a combination of both. Perhaps adjusting the image with Shadows and Highlights in PS would have yielded an even more powerful feeling.

Love the right hand blur. A very subtle use of motion.

Wonderful! The photo truly has a feeling - can't see any sense in searching for a technical imperfection here.

when I look at this picture the song "fake plastic trees" from Radiohead pops up into my mind :)

I like the idea and the light but I would of placed the trees a little bit lower in the composition..

Thanks everyone! I was a bit nervous as I've never turned the camera on myself before, but I figured I'd give it a go. I love that brick wall outside my flat, it makes lovely backdrops. :)

This is great, Brant. FIts so many categories from past and present Vazaar topics. I like everything about this image from the dark, moody, grittiness to the bright green 'lane open' arrow and the color of the bridge. It really captures a feeling. NIce.

Very interesting photo. So many different thoughts are going through my mind on each ones situation. Very well captured.

If this is not cropped, then it's perfect. You can't be too close. If it is cropped, I like the composition very much.

The young man's back is a bit blow-out (which may be your creative intent?) to me. I wish there was more shadow detail in his legs.

The lighting in this shot is great . It adds a lot of texture. I think the tones are dead on.

I agree with dreamer, the constrast is gorgeous. And I don't mind the cropping, I wouldn't have noticed his leg... :)

Now it's time for me to comment on your comments ;)

First of all, the picture isn't cropped.. I don't agree on the fact to take a few steps back because my main subject is the man who's sleeping, so that meens he can't be to close..

About the contrast, it's meant that way, I wanted it to be so dramatic.. cause I think the seen is pretty dramatic..

I took this picture in Barcelona when we where waiting for the bus.. the scene striked me, the guy was just sleeping there and the sun gave this beautiful paterns on the bench and especially on the guys back..
I think he is homeless or something, or drunk, don't know, but we saw a lot of guys just sleeping on the streets of Barcelona, during daytime and night..

What's funny or weird is that all them people are touching there face with there hands.. like they want to cover something..

What I don't like in this pic are the man's legs behind the guy with his baseball had on..
