The "about" really adds a feel to this shot that might not otherwise been achieved.
Did you take any wider shots showing the actual gutter also?

HaHa Gutter ball! This shot would have been much better taken at street level with the gutter in the background.

I'm not a fan of writing on my own pictures, but I really wanted to hit home the fact that this 'gutter ball' was nowhere near a bowling alley. It was randomly sitting in a gutter on a random street one day while out walking. The irony kills me inside. :)
