Red (1 year ago)

I think a little color correction to make this more red as opposed to hot pink. Also it is a bit soft in focus. I also think it would have more impact if the knife were open.
annabc (Anna Cameron) added a critique 1 year ago:
Well, the knife is definitely red, but there is an awful lot of background around it adding very little impact to the image. A much tighter crop would help, as mentioned above, but I think it would need a sharper focus and a more interesting angle before it really stood out in this topic.

Very nice attempt.
I agree with the above about color balance and cropping.
Lea (Lea Mulqueen) added a critique 1 year ago:
For me, the backgound doesn't work at all. A cleaner background (perhaps just a solid color cloth background, tighter crop, longer depth of field so that all the knife is in focus and some color correction are needed.
I also think that at least one blade should be open to add interest.

get a better motive.

Well Pedro,I don't know what you are trying to say.
It is just a simple un-enhanced photo.
Better motive,a better reason to post a shot?
Blumie (Sabine) added a critique 1 year ago:
Well, yes, it looks different - another red - but in the most perfect light situation. I bet, when you have a knife like this, you have seen it in different lights in different colors. I am impressed by people, who do shots of unusal - or better very usual - things, making them look like a little supermodel. So for me it is a very good job.

Wow,thank you Blumie!
I really appreciate your comment.
I know the focus is not the best,
but I just wanted to share my idea for Red.
I got this knife from my deceased buddy Ed Jett.
To me it is special.

For me this says a lot. When you are older than - lets say twenty - you already lost a special friend. Thats a sad, but very true thing. You have something, that reminds you of your friend, thats good. And now I know, why you have choosen this one to present it and why you have presented it in a very special way. Thanks for sharing that memory.

Color balance seems off, these knives are really red, this one is magenta. I would frame tighter to loose the overshoot in the upper left corner.
