I'm so flattered! It's actually not an HDR but I'm glad you like it... It's a regular old one-shot prolonged expore and it's SOOC.
warreagle (Amy Warr) added a critique 1 year ago:
the building really catches my eye, the green tint from the lights really makes it stand out! This is nice!

Nice one Kimberly!! I love the ghosted person in the foreground bottom...

Very nice work - quite original and the ghostly figure is a great touch!

I also think that this shot is striking. It is lifted by the placement of the birds and their wonderfully captured movement in the right of frame.

Very lovely composition. It has a lot of atmosphere.
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) said 10 months ago:
thanks for all the nice comments.
Would you crop the image? Maybe cut off a bit at the to?
remirol (Andy Lorimer) added a critique 10 months ago:
Gee I love the picture just the way it is very natural , colours and the balance of the shot are done very well!! Keep the shutter clicken :)

the birds are flying away... days get colder... winter is coming... this pic catches its sad mood very well!! well done!

great picture! I like the dark sky behind the birds...
marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 1 year ago:
this is nice but are you trying to test us,
At less 5 corrections visible to the eyes should be applied
there is 3 dot of water on your lenses
one just on the rigth of the 3 upper left bird
one on the 2 lower left bird, one in the lower bottom
1/3 left of the lower cloud, now 45 degree up the first water drop there a black dot not needed
and finally almost in the upper left center there is a bird with 2 white reflection on is feet.
After corrections sillouette aspect would be great.
Just like your work, so dont stop looking twice before sending it.
Great works from you, migth be just a sligth oversee.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:
Some minor corrections to be made - all in all a great shot!

Thanks for the comments, but I don't quite understand. It sounds like, nice car, bad photo?
willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:
The unnatural saturation levels (yellow and blue) really cause a major distraction in the out-of-focus region.
I like the composition. I like how the shallow DOF draws attention to the Cobra.

My all time favorite car. No complaints here.

Nice colors - and good composition. Thanks for sharing this great car!

here i have to add something to this photo:
it was NOT taken by me, it is taken by the person showing it. i only did the post-processings. i hope that this is ok, if not, i will delete it ;)
Onno (Onno Bruins) added a critique 10 months ago:
This could be a nice shot, but the postprocessing is a bit too much for me. Reminds me of the black metal scene, the makeup that is.
I'd like to see the original. Not really a group of people though.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:
I think this could be a strong photo - the red eye distracts too much from the overall effect, however.
Best,
Jon
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) said 10 months ago:
@ onno:
well this shot rminds you at the black metal scene... well the aim of my post processing was that it looks a bit like a picture from victoria frances or luis royo...
erm well it really is not a GROUP of poeple... but does this matter?

Thank you boyd. The sky was bright blue, totally contrasting with the dark surrounding, I measured the exposition on a neutral grey before shooting.
imagenature (Alexander Belokurov) added a critique 1 year ago:
You have a good eye... The idea is great. I agree with previous posts that the dark area on the top does not make any justice to the image. I would try either crop it tighter to the grass in water or, maybe, covert to black in white.

Very cool reflection with amazing clarity......nicely done!
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 1 year ago:
nice i like its low colors and high contrasts, like a bleach bypass pic
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:
Very interesting shot - I would like to see it as a black and white - great contrasty possibilities.

Jon

Very nice picture. However, on the monitor that I am using right now, the colors seem a little too saturated. The blue in the water dosn't appear natural. I'm not using my computer, maybe all photo's are super-saturated on this computer.
diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:
I disagree the saturation is very pleasing, you've also got an awesome DoF and clarity, nicely done!
tzirlott (Tom Zirlott) added a critique 1 year ago:
It is a very nice very deep photo. I am unsure where the blue on the rocks is coming from.
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) said 1 year ago:
this blue is a reflection from the sky^^

The sky is indeed wonderful. Did you use any postprocessing on this? The silhouette of the tree is very nice, just above the other tree lines. The other trees give a nice depth to the picture.
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 1 year ago:
it seems that the ska is a bit oversaturated, but the rest is really nice
mrsmorunion (Tammy Runion) added a critique 1 year ago:
I love the colors and the composition, but either I'm blind or my monitor isn't clear - I can't even find a watermark!

Oh wow, I was born on March 5th, no lie. And here in Europe we write it that way: 05.03.19.. uhm. I like all those golden colors. Did you use a flash?
Viper (Dan McMurray) said 1 year ago:
Yes, I used a flash in this one. I was actually photographing a fireworks display and was heading home when I saw her sitting in a field close to where I had set up. It was just a silhouette in the dark. Beautiful, isn't she? :-) Very coy on the year BTW, lol. (19... uhm) The suffix for that one is 58 for me.
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) said 1 year ago:
wow... i think it would even look better if you made it black and white ;)
Viper (Dan McMurray) said 1 year ago:
Thanx paddle punk. I considered black and white but decided on the color. I thought the gold gave it a warmer feeling, but then again, it's always a matter of personal preference :)

Nice shot, but I think I would like it even better if you hadn't cut the bottom. Perhaps with a little bit wider angle, leaving a narrow border in front of the animal.
klear added a critique 1 year ago:
This is nice because you don't usually see an animal like that in such a coastal shot. I don't mind that he's in the lower right corner.
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 1 year ago:
the see looks strange, like taken with bad quality and and small size, then tried to make it bigger...
imagenature (Alexander Belokurov) said 1 year ago:
to paddlepunk: it is one picture, no montage... maybe bacause the see is out of focus or jpg comression on small preview?
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 11 months ago:
Nice shot! Good subject - nice colors and interesting crop.

the lights are very well, as expected as from a hdr-pic ;) i think those shadows of poeple and so are wanted... good pic!
