Nice shot and perfect use of DOF for the colour. Her sulky mood really sets the scene.

I love all the yellow!. Her boots blend in! LoL Makes it seem kind of like she's floating. The house and cars in the background is a bit distracting but that's just my opinion. I like how you've framed this, the size of the tree compared to the size of the girl. Very nice!

pageextent (matt mangan) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice colour and composition. Like the suggestion above, would help to shoot in a lower aperature (f8) to really draw attention to the foreground (background will be blurred) but not blur too much of the tree when you focus on the person. The only other thing would be to bring the yellow up a bit, it's a little flat...but that could be because it's on the internet and the colour range isn't great on the web.

Great work and great idea! Hope this helps.

This is a lovely shot. For me, it's a bit flat and lacks punch. I would dial in some color temp. and crop a little tighter. Thanks for sharing this one.

beautifull, alltought I miss some sharpness!!

daldao said 1 year ago:

I miss too, but it was so dark and i didn“t have my tripod. :)

CouCou33 (Ingrid) added a critique 1 year ago:

same comment: miss some sharpness. also I might have liked it better if the sharp area was at the very bottom (begining) of the picture... cause blur before and after is a little confusing to the eye.
but I really like the abstract feeling of this picture :)

Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:

Ingrid read my mind, ditto everything she said. If you take what you have here, crop to a square by loosing a little off the bottom, about 2/3 of the out of focus area and crop the top to just loose the bright lights, you will have a very nice composition and the abstract nature of this will be greatly enhanced!! Try it and if you like it, re-post, either here or in "Abstract objects", must MHO.

Hi,

Great shot, but it would be better if something were in focus! Thanks for posting.

Really nice!! One time I really don't mind a contrail, here it actually adds to the image. I usually hate them. Nice work!!

Impresionante la nitidez y el reflejo Manolo, me gusta mucho como el arco del puente enmarca y lleva la mirada hasta, Juan Carlos?

This shot has wonderful depth of interest right across the frame. Very strong composition that is wonderfully presented. Well done.

blaze883r (Fernando Bordallo) added a critique 1 year ago:

I really like two pics! I love the depth on both!

Good job.

oz_sprog (Will Williams) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree with DCR, a little more contrast to bring out the light streaks, wonderful capture though!!!

Stefan added a critique 1 year ago:

respect, 3rd feature for nearly the same shot. Is there a bug? ;)

however - I like the picture, good work

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like both versions, but think this is the better of the two. Nice work...and impressive determination to keep working with the same image. I've always thought that working on the same photo is a real learning opportunity. In this case, I learned something too. Well done IMHO.

What's wrong with people? I have to laugh when I see images such as this voted in for topics like SNOW. Where is the SNOW???!!! Happy Christmas you bunch of loonies.

pageextent (matt mangan) said 1 year ago:

Look way way way in the back.....

It is a great shot, but it's not what you think of for the category 'Snow'...but still nice job. Merry Xmas.

Eye_See said 1 year ago:

Greenpixels, you have a lovely photo, with good dynamics and great color but I would not have voted for this picture in the snow topic. In "Backlight" yes, but not snow.

greenpixels said 1 year ago:

thanks for all the comments anyway. it's very nice to receive the critics.

Sonoma said 1 year ago:

I love the picture no matter what topic it was in. It's the kind of shot that takes you to another place. Good work.
