Nice image, not much to say. I might crop some off the top to focus more on the cross.
sanders (Marc Sanders) added a critique 1 year ago:
Also blurring the background may have added to the impact of the foreground cross popping out at you.

Yes, I also like the way that you have picked out one cross in front with the sea of them behind. Good use of B&W to emphasise shape and tone.

I like it too. Perhaps less sky and a little more ground to empathize where it all finishes.

Oh I see. The only thing you could have done was choosing a different angle, so the sheadows were more obvious to be dropped by the sun.

that makes sense. thank you. :)

It's still a really good image though.

This is a very striking image. All the more so for his direct gaze contrasted against the gun and barbed wire. I cannot help but wonder why this is yet to feature.

nothing features anymore on vazaar. it's closed.
But yes, I agree. This shot says a lot. Well done. I love his shirt!

oh yeah, i didn't notice that before. they are a little bit different, huh? I also just noticed that pole on the far left, haha. funny I should only notice that now. thanks for the comment!

I would crop the top so that none of the blue of the sky can be seen.
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great image though, adore it!

The depth that you have created in your image is really quite captivating, as is the detail in the trunks and branches. I also think that the toning that you have selected works very well to create a very strong image overall. Nice work.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with most of the above comments, not sure about the one about the sky though. I like the relief it gives to the tones and hues of the main subject.

Technically it's a good photograph except for the distortion you might want to remove.

that's always a problem of mine, the side seems to be turning inwards. would you know do i fix something like that?
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:
Photoshop: Filters: Distort: Lens Distortion

The exposure of this shot to maintain the detail in the sky works very well. However, the bottom quarter of the frame doesn't seem to add a lot and makes it feel quite empty. Perhaps the inclusion of a person in the foreground might add to the "life" of the composition.
thanks for the comment, gazdi. i did not notice the trees you were referring too, you're probably right. i really should be more mindful of the details that will add more character to the photo. thanks again!
