This picture is good, effect is great and I whant you understand me correct. It would be more better if ine the left bottom corner was a dog in focus for example ;)
Drkev (Cristian Vladoaica) said 6 months ago:
no! seriously i know what you mean!
it's missing something.
I didn't noticed that till now.
Thanks again (and i mean it)
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 6 months ago:
i like the lines but i have to agree that there is no subject in this shot
oz_sprog (Will Williams) added a critique 6 months ago:
I like the complimenting horizontal lines, would be really cool with someone walking along the pavement behind the light.

Very interesting. The place is beautiful. If it was I - I would crop the hous at all, and take more of mountaine and less of earth. May be you have panorama of these place?
ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) added a critique 6 months ago:
Beautiful location and atmosphere for a photo but have to agree with Mikhail, a little different crop would me more effective. Remove some of the foreground and the house on the left.
hampshire added a critique 6 months ago:
Unbelievable! I agree with the front cropping, but I love the house. I think it gives the picture a dreamlike quality. Imagine waking up here.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 6 months ago:
your shot is incredible, very nice.
and fits to a lot of topics : water, snow, empty spaces, low down
i like it
oz_sprog (Will Williams) added a critique 6 months ago:
I like the house in there, adds story. Would like to see more atmosphere in the sky though, really goo work :)

Cute. Center is a bit out of focus. Was that intentional?
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) said 6 months ago:
no that was not intentional, in fact this shot was taken with a photo-phone, i guess that explain the focus problem
hampshire added a critique 6 months ago:
Very beautiful and sweet face! Love the black and white.
breaves (Brennan Greaves) added a critique 6 months ago:
looks pretty great considering it was taken with a phone, I wouldn't have guessed it

Beautiful place. Don't you think that on this image green is not a green ;) it is too yellowish
TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:
Thank you photoaholic. :-)
misu, this is how the greens looked on this day, rain was in the air, new growth on the trees, afternoon sun coming through the clouds. It was amazing to see in person.
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 6 months ago:
Tammy, I don't what You take offence on me. May be my monitor isn't properly calibrated. I like this photo, forest, flowers, composition. But I think You are interested in opinion of others! Sorry if I hurt You!
TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:
misu, I've not taken offense, all I did was explain the colours to you and to anyone else who thought it was too yellow. It's OK if you don't like the colours, or if you don't like the photo even. Everyone has their own opinions and that's OK. If we all thought the same way about things and we all liked the same things, then life would be very boring. And Yes, it is a beautiful place. :-)

Just experimenting. Maybe Vazaar's visitores think it's overdone, but I like the effect. Btw, it's my little sister (17 years old and 20 centimeters longer then I am).

this shot is interesting, i like the comp
this effect is a little too much for me but it fits to the topic so nice job

Sorry, I don't liki it. May be You crop almost all, may be because of effect! I don't know exact!

I am not to much of a fan of this shot but i see the potential!

I like the light, I like the detail, nice job. I think the flow and lines created by the main subject is so nice that the bit of board showing on the left is distracting. I'm not sure just cropping this image to loose the left would work, seems too restricted when I tried it with the edge my monitor. Did you shoot any other compositions of this? Want I am thinking of would be with the camera about 2 inches to the left and the spicket and board a little more centered.
mikeock (Mike Adams) said 6 months ago:
Clyde,
thanks for the useful comment.
I do have other angles but none of them have the detail that this shot has. I was thinking of re-shooting it this weekend and now have motivation.
mikeock (Mike Adams) said 6 months ago:
Clyde,
different crop here:

ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) added a critique 6 months ago:
I've always loved blurred waterfall shots but you might have gone a bit to long on the exposure on this one. The part of the falls on the upper right is just complete white, no contrast or lines at all. You probably could have gotten away with a fairly fast exposure and still got the effect. BTW, how's this look in colour?
CEG added a critique 6 months ago:
Nice shot. The water seems cloud-like. I'd like to se it in color also.
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) added a critique 6 months ago:

Beatiful! Like the most of your work. It will also fit in the 'fill the frame'-topic. If you're able to make another shot of this place, it would like to see it like Pixim suggested!
niguez (Andrés Ñíguez) added a critique 6 months ago:
Bonita composición. Es fuerte el contraste entre el óxido acumulado por el paso del tiempo y la frescura de la primavera. Me gusta la forma que tienes de mirar a través del objetivo. Felicidades.

Nicely done. Is there an effect on the water or longer exposure? It looks string-like. I like it a lot.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) said 6 months ago:
for this shot i used a neutral density filter in order to use a longer exposure but no particular effect or pp

thanks for your kind comment. I like that the moss-covered rock is prominent but my eye still goes to the water!
ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) added a critique 6 months ago:
ahhh, so you do have a colour version hahaha. This is much nicer to me but I still think the exposure was just a bit to long. The fall on the left is just a tad over exposed to me. A very pretty spot.
Thanks for your comment!
You are absolutely right!
Thanks for the eye opener!
