thanks for your comment, you're rigth the compression for the site did not help this picture but this is not the only reason, this shot was made with a compact cam and i could not do exactly what i wanted

Very nice landscape/cityscape!! I agree that the Topic placement seems odd, but lovely image anyway. You might consider place this in Skyscapes too.
You know you can suggest a Topic and/or vote on upcoming Topics:

Very nice. Like the way you use the trees as foreground and then lead us into the city. Great sky.

I'm assuming this is IR work or something done in Photoshop? I'm not much of an abstract person but it may appeal to people who like that. You have an interesting subject with the plane in the clear but other wise I don't find this overly appealing. Sorry.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 6 months ago:
Good effort with your framing of the plane - keep shooting! Keep thinking about what you are trying to convey to the viewer.
Best,
jon
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 6 months ago:
surprising shot, interesting
imo the shot would be better without the plane

this must have been a very hard shot, to be able to capture a fly is quite a feat, congrats! I really like the color of the photo, at first I wasn't quite sure I liked the fuziness of the fly, but I now I think it gives the photo a "motion" feeling that relates well to the viewer because we all know how flies never seem to sit sill...great job!
TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 6 months ago:
Lovely color. Great job capturing the fly. I would have like to see the fly a little more clear.

IMO the colours are a bit flat, but exept (or despite) that it's a really nice photo. I always am a bit jealous when people can capture a butterfly or an other small animal sitting on a flower. ;)
Good job!
effraie said 7 months ago:
tamara, is your screen calibrate ?
Colors are a bit flat on my laptop, but are nice on my calibrate screen.
sfkp (Tamara) added a critique 7 months ago:
Sorry. I think I misunderstood the meaning of 'flat colours'. I meant: there is so much white, the butterfly is brown... I miss some bright colours. But that's just my taste, I like images with bright colours, and if they don't have them, the image must have strong contrasts or something. I made something to show what I mean:

Still, the original is beautiful!
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 7 months ago:
Very beautiful, but the focus is too soft on the butterfly.
Best,

jvg: You're right with the little bush, I realized it too late, only when I saw it on the computer. But as I remember I wouldn't have any other place to stand, so I couldn't compose it some other way.
Ana (Ana Cortez) added a critique 6 months ago:
That bush can be pretty easily cloned out, I believe.

The leaves on the right are disturbing for me, without them the water would be more impressive on the picture.
MrVertigoo (Tomer Rozenblum) added a critique 6 months ago:
I would take the frame out of this one. i think it will look nicer without it.
breaves (Brennan Greaves) added a critique 6 months ago:

Truly a stunning location, a shame about the plant on the right but I suspect your on a cliff and movement was limited. Would love to see a more closeup of the lighthouse with the water.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 6 months ago:
i don't agree with the comments on the plant ! imo, they are interesting in the shot
good job

It's making my eyes blur a little, try focusing more on the stalks in front?
koo88 added a critique 6 months ago:
I agree with warreagle, it is a little blurry. I like the idea though. Try from different angles.
CEG added a critique 6 months ago:
Nice idea, but I too think the DOF is distracting. Maybe if the largest out of focus stalk wasn't so centered.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 6 months ago:
i agree with kalepsiash, very calming shot
Hello, it seems to me that the photograph is fuzzy, perhaps due to the compression of the image in order to present it on the site. Your exposure is correct, with some points of over-exposure, but that is not crippling. DoF shorter would have allowed the setting in front of a flower to make in particular, and thus the photograph more readable, with a center of percussion interest. At all events, beautiful test and I await your next image. Greetings.
