striking, but too centered to hold my attention for long.

I love the simplicity of this image . . . it's very zen!

pygment (Dave Gilligan) added a critique 1 year ago:
Too over processed but the subject looks interesting, I really like the chaos of the subject matter.
bodyNsoul (Patrick Krolis) added a critique 1 year ago:
Love the image for both it's composition and the post processing. Great Job. Of course I have you as a favorite on aminus3 and vfxy already. Love your work

I like the composition very much, maybe the reflection on the ground in the middle disturbes a little bit
boughey (Adrian Boughey) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very nice. Great atmosphere. My only critique has already been mentioned; I also find the highlight of the floor in the front centre a little distracting.
tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:
This is a very classy shot. I agree with boughey about the highlighted floor at bottom of the shot. Apart from that, superb!
philippe (Philippe Reichert) added a critique 1 year ago:
One of my favorites.

I love the framing and colors but I would have preferred the seats to be sharper.

oops spelling error in my html tag, sorry
prometheus (Thomas) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with Bastian. A little more space on the right and a flashlight to light up the dogs nose could solve this, I think. But the composition is great.
23pixels (Rowell) said 1 year ago:
Thanks for the comments guys. I know it's out of focus but it's the spur of the moment.. you know :]
ronjones (Ron Jones) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very cute puppy. The low angle is a great touch. We all know how difficult it is to focus on a fast moving pup.

Not perfect, but a fun shot none-the-less!

This is actually a macro of a tiny, dried, miniature yellow rose. (Well it was getting rather brown when this was shot.)
Helene (Hélène Douchet) added a critique 1 year ago:
I really like the B&W work (from black to white), not just grey. I also like the details on the rose and the light/dark work.
Great shot.
Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
Agreed. Really great lighting here and great detail. The texture is what grabs the the most. A fresh flower seems fragile enough, but this one seems like it will crumble if I touch it. A favorite. If anything I'd like to see the flower further to the left, but I also like the importance of the stem/leaves.
prometheus (Thomas) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great! This impression and the mood the picture has impresses me. Nothing to critizises for me.

Thank you very much Alex and Anna. Not loving to insert same image on Vazaar, THIS is the link of same image where I tried to erase off the eyeglass arm.
Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like this ..I like the style and the way the eyes stand out. I like the creativeness of this.. and agreed also with the statements above .. it took me a minute to know what it was but then again things like that can be fun and intriguing in a shot too, overall it is creative and imaginative ..something I love to see!
ikol22 (Fabrizio Zanelli) said 1 year ago:
Thank you Lindy. You're flattering me :-) -- Anyway words like yours really helps and encourages. Thank you very much !
JENRIKS (Jens & Erik) added a critique 1 year ago:
Way too bright for my taste! There's too little details in it.
ikol22 (Fabrizio Zanelli) said 1 year ago:
jenriks, follow a definition of "High way": ""High key subjects concentrate on the lighter tones, using subject matter that is white or pale tones, and using flat overall lighting to avoid shadows"" (photography.about.com/library/glossary/bldef_highk...)

The framing is really good.. I would have made him put on a white shirt to match the high-key lighting :)
jeninja-inja (Jenine Lindeque) said 1 year ago:
great idea - didn't think about that!
tomcarter (Tom Carter) added a critique 1 year ago:
i wonder if you had to ask him to look serious or if it was a natural tendency? i like it. i also like the closeness, did you crop or really get this near?
jeninja-inja (Jenine Lindeque) said 1 year ago:
basically the same - only cropped the picture into more of a wide screen format. I asked Matt to close his eyes and the open them - took the shot about 3secs later so i guess it is natural. Yip i was really close, and somewhere between 18 - 24 mm on the lens.

nice flowerimage. the poppy seed (?) looks like a crown on a stick. well done job!
prometheus (Thomas) added a critique 1 year ago:
Normally I prefer a quadratic cut for flower pictures First I tought too, that there is too much space above, but on the second view it works well. Great light as well.
lomoseb said 1 year ago:
Thanks to all. This kind of flower is a bit special, they fold their sheets ( don't know if my english is correct) when light has gone. This one doesn't make his job properly (or she's an original one) and so takes this crown form.
lomoseb said 1 year ago:
Oh for the top perhaps i have to lighten it to see the background.
luan (Luan Huynh) added a critique 1 year ago:

Love the way the rhino fits into the frame !
The pictures fits perfectly to the topic ! :)

Thanks all for your comments.
I like this but somehow I think there should be a little bit more light on the face? The shadow is kinda blocking out the face so you can't see much details there.
But it's a great effort nonetheless.
:)
