i'm not quite sure what this thing in front of the window is, but i really like this image!

It's a window lock. I've got them in my house... They make it so that people outside can't open your windows.

It the only single paned window in my house and it's right next to my desk---so it's way cold and it beads up with moisture when it rains, as it was doing when I took this photo. Yeah, it's an old-style window lock or clasp. Now that I've photographed it, I probably should replace it with a better window.

I like the mood of this pcture, cold, wet and old.
