Ana, this made me laugh out loud! Thanks for sharing this risque photo with us!

Well, he's at least man's best friend. I rather think this is covered by the "artistic" part of the topic (artistic license -- no test or proof of insurance necessary). Good fun!

refocus (andy kämpf) said 7 months ago:

this by far the most stunning picture i see for ages... ;-)

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 7 months ago:

@refocus. If you say so.
:)

Almost fell off my chair when I saw what topic you posted this to.
But since nobody else seems to comment on anything but the topic:
I love the composition of this. There would be a rather big chunk of grey, but you broke it up nicely with the belt and the bone. Not just a joke, but a good picture in itself!

Wow, great shot and I'm not the only one who thinks so... This reminds me of Momo's staircase at the entrance of the Vatican museum.

Thanks for the info Jason. The new photoshop does a pretty good job stitching, that I have noticed. I have the same camera and lens and have found the lens distortion at 18mm sometimes a bit tough for PS to handle but it's a good lens. Thanks mate!

byutanner (Jason Tanner) said 4 months ago:

HuubL - yeah definitely very similar. Good shot.

Scott - Yeah I agree. If I were to shoot it again I think I'd use the 18-70mm and zoom in a little more. It'd take more images, but there would be less distortion.

Thanks all again.

I like the right part of the picture. Maybe you should try to cut out the street. I'm not sure if it will look much better but i would try it.

PiXistenZ said 4 months ago:

I wouldn't cut out anything, the road really adds to the photo.. great shot & processing.

refocus (andy kämpf) said 4 months ago:

Thanks for your comments..!
This shot is done with my analog Panoramic Cam "Horizon S3 Pro".
Film Kodak Pro 160 VC which gives that vivid colors.

There is no much processing. :-)
I only adjusted the contrast a bit.

Oh yes, it's featured!!
ON VAZAAR!!

That means WAY more than actual feedback!!

Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 7 months ago:

@Martine, I wasn't asking why he used PP, just why in this particular case, where the capture seems so brilliant, that he chose this approach to processing, but it seems to have generated a whole emotional response/conversation and an practical answer to my question now seems impossible.

@Andy, I clearly got the fact that you liked this PP approach from the mere fact that you posted it. As for you explanation that the processing focus the subject, well, this subject focuses itself just by his expression and the wonderful nature of his face and the brilliance of the moment. And, IMO, it seems that the PP detracts from that focus not enhances. I would never ask you to post the original. I just am trying to pull out of you what you thought was lacking in the original that this PP brings out or "fixes"??? Please don't take my questions/comments personally, remember this is a discussion about art, there's always going to be disagreement.

Anyway, cheers everyone!!

refocus (andy kämpf) said 7 months ago:

please stop the emotional discussion....
it's not worth at all. It's just a photo..

:)

have a nice weekend!
